Orton should win and Mark Henry should get a title shot after beating Sheamus. It's almost like they want to forsake Orton vs. Henry like they did two years ago in favor of a stale feud.

on another note, didn't Undertaker/Edge go 5 PPVs in 2008? Wrestlemania, Backlash, Judgment Day, TLC match at ER, HIAC match at Summerslam.

To be fair, Sheamus/Christian is just as fresh of a feud as Orton/Henry. Sheamus wins, Henry's furious and in some blind irrational rage looking to make a statement later, takes out his frustrations on Orton in the NHB match. Not perfect or anything, but Orton and Henry get their feud, you have Sheamus vs. Christian as a fresh title program.

After NoC, Christian is going to be "1"-5 against Orton. LOL.
I love Henry, but is there anyone on the planet who would rather see an Orton-Henry title feud than Christian-Sheamus? Assuming the plan is to eventually put the title on Henry, Christian -> Sheamus -> Henry would work too. Orton needs to go away.

The "September Rematch" could just be on regular TV.

Make the Night of Champions match a Fatal 4 Way between Orton, Christian, Sheamus, and Henry. Henry should win.

What a stupid idea, the No Holds Barred match seems perfectly designed to let Orton lose via interference from whichever heel they want him to feud against next, protecting him while letting him move on to a new angle even without winning back the belt.

Logical booking that protects everyone? What do you think this is? The 80's or 90s? Or the decades preceeding those?

The matches are good, the feud is too and still has legs. What are those maniacs thinking?! Where they go after this though I don't know, but that all depends how it finishes.

They should just keep trading wins and because of the stupid rematch clause, they could be wrestling in PPV matches until next year!
Honestly this is more a sad state of Smackdown then it is this feud.

The only gimmick/stip that would make sense at NoC is an Iron Man match. And if you're going to extend this thing to September, you may as well extend it to October and blow it off in the Cell. What a stupid idea, the No Holds Barred match seems perfectly designed to let Orton lose via interference from whichever heel they want him to feud against next, protecting him while letting him move on to a new angle even without winning back the belt. Brodus Clay is working dark matches. I can't think of a better way to bring him back than as Christian's enforcer. But LOLRKO...

The Observer confirmed that the plans are to keep this going another month. But I don't thinkt hat necessarily means Orton has to regain the title.
Remember, he wasn't pinned or made to submit to lose it in the first place. IF he gets pinned at Summerslam, I could see him demanding/earning "one last shot" in September, with the stip being that this is IT, and there will be no other title matches after this if he fails, leading to Orton regaining the title and the blow-off happening at Hell in the Cell (which would be the first time since that PPV's inception that they actually have a feud built up to/worthy of a HITC blow-off).

John Cena vs. Randy Orton was worthy of a HIAC blow off. The problem was that it instead went to yet another match.

I can't think of the last feud in which it terminated in a HITC match, outside of Sheamus vs. Orton, which wasn't that intense of a rivalry to begin with. EDIT: Realized that sounded snarky. Didn't mean it to. I absolutely agree that Orton/Cena was a HITC worthy blowoff, but they just HAD to keep it going for one more month. Even though I actually really enjoyed the Iron Man Match, it didn't need to happen. Nor did the "I Quit" match. Whatever story was being told could have culminated in the Cell, to keep alive whatever sense of finality and danger the stip may have had.

They need to step up this feud. All the matches have been good, but they haven't had that great, high energy, dramatic match since OTL.

I think they can get away with one more match as the dynamic of this one will be a little different.
This will be the first time that heel champ Christian defends the title against baby face challenger Orton.
So the dynamics of the match will at least be somewhat different ... or should be.
Honestly though, I think Sheamus v Christian is the next feud for SD as this Sheamus/Henry mini feud seems like just a placeholder.

and just think Booker T will be there to say that this will be a "Five Time! Five Time! Five Time! Five Time! Five Time!" PPV title match.
