“This is very rewarding to meet the people who have followed me for four decades, four generations of people,” said Flair, who has won 16 World Heavyweight Championships in the WWF, WCW, TNA and PWI. He’s also a member of the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame, being inducted after WWE was formed by merging WWF and WCW. There is alot of incorrect statements in that paragraph. Clearly whoever wrote this article doesn't know a whole lot about wrestling. Ya, that really jumped out at me too. What's kinda funny is, Steve Austin and Brian Pillman were making fun of Flair's age in 1993. That pops into my head all the time when I see Flair on TV, that the "Flair For the Old" segments aired almost 20 years ago

Part of me says it's his legacy let him do with it what he wishes. But the wrestling fan in me says he dosn't have enough left to be a serious in-ring performer. He is magic on the mic. He can give anyone the rub by working with them(except Jay Lethal who got released after being "made" by working with Flair) But the 30+ minute classics with Sting, Steamboat or even Hogan are tens years gone

Ric on the mic is entertaining, honestly he's a very entertaining character.
In the ring? It'sl ike watching The Wrestler, a guy way past his prime who can't stop.

Man, can you imagine a rematch between Hogan and Flair in this day and age? It'd be like watching Jello wrestle.

Ric Flair is barely an active human anymore, how's he gonna be an active wrestler?

Some guys develop ring rust during periods of inactivity.
Ric has ringrot.
He'll always entertain, but he can't realistically offer that much inside that ring anymore. Not from a performance standpoint. Not from a psychological standpoint.
It's useless.

Gimme my nostalgia pop for Sting-Flair instead of Sting-Hogan, that's about the only thing left I'd like to see from the Nature Boy.

Ya know, I think Flair was a great wrestler ten years ago, and he's still a great guy on the mic, even if he is maybe a little bit crazy. But... this is quite possibly the second worst idea I've heard lately, the worst being the rumored Sting vs Hogan potential cluster-smurf.

Ugh. Can't someone pay Flair not to wrestle? In the end, I think that would benefit us all better.

If any of us wanted to we could all go to the top of a tall building and jump.
Just because you can do something doesn't make this a good idea and like jumping off a building, this is a bad idea for anyone not named Mick Foley.
