Bumped, because she needed another person to randomly hate her.

Bumped, because she needed another person to randomly hate her. And the reigning Knockout's champion wasn't so much as mentioned. It's like this episode sums up every single point made here.

The way I look at it, the way Velvet has been treating the other Knockouts as a member of the BP has finally caught up with her, so she's more-or-less forced to take on everybody.
I have to say though, that tag match wasn't all that bad. But the way it ended was just illogical. If ODB was closer to the ring, yeah I can accept Velvet getting distracted. But ODB was way up there.
Guess we can add Ms. Tessmacher to her list, since Velvet more-or-less abandoned her at the end?

As I said in the Impact thread:
"Why would they not be going after the champion?"
Just makes no sense that, from a kayfabe standpoint, she'd be the one they'd all hate; unless you made it some sorta 'Beautiful People backlash', in which case they should be pouncing on Madison and Angelina as well.
In a way, I guess it's weird the other two left that gimmick behind, but she's going strong with it. It's like she's Road Dogg and X-pac still trotting out DX, except she's the focal point of the division for some reason.

All women in TNA must feud with Velvet. She's like Poochie in the sense she must always be fighting a woman or be on camera calling someone a bitch/slut/whore/etc. I get TNA thanks she's hot s***, but chill out man. How about giving Mickie James the center point?

It'd be like on the men's side of things putting, for example, Bully Ray as a MAJOR focus on the show.
He's talented, a multiple time tag champ, and a good cog in the machine, but isn't champ or have any reason to be a focal point at this time either. This is the same thing.

Anyone care to explain why ODB and Jackie jumped Velvet? Shouldn't they go after the champ? Shouldn't the champ be on the TV show?

Mickie is kind of ending up as an afterthought here.
Whether you like Velvet or not (okay, if you really do like her then it's a no-brainer), there has to be sense in making the champ the vocal point.
Since Velvet's never won the damn thing, while so many others have, makes you wonder why they don't just give her the title. If she's going to have such a busy social life in TNA, then at least put the strap on her to make it gain importance too.

If she's going to have such a busy social life in TNA, then at least put the strap on her to make it gain importance too. I have this feeling that the new management doesn't see green in the Knockouts title. Think about it; the title was spawned A) Gail had become so popular that people wanted to see her hold a title, and B) because they knew they could use this steam to outshine the Divas division over in New York. And for a while, it did Hamada, Sarita, Taylor Wilde, Cheerleader Melissa, Roxxi, and of course the centerpieces Kong and Kim go without saying. New management, however, the ones that had Medusa drop the Women's title into a trash can so she and Daffney could fight for the Cruiserweight title (since there would never be an actual Women's division, even during her tenure there), probably don't see the same dollar signs in a Knockout's title or a Knockout's match. They'd rather have catfights and four-letter-words galore, because certain demographics find it entertaining. But (and what a big one it is), the predominant problem isn't the emphasis on the old way, the late '90's way of booking women's matches, but the de-emphasis on wrestling. Since the powershift, Kong, Hamada, Wilde, Daffney, Kim, and several other of their better performers have left, either due to pay, treatment, or both. Who do they put in their place? Not Sarita; I don't think she's ever actually been a focal point for the Knockouts. Not even Mickie. Every single member of the Beautiful People have been the booked as the core of the division at one point or another; and with Angel in zombie state and Madison occupied with Tara, they've made Vel-Vel the new face of the Knockouts division, a position that, quite frankly, she's probably the least qualified out of TBP for, not counting Lacey.

Apparently, Mike Tenay is pushing how Velvet got ODB fired last year. If you look at it at face-value, I just figure they're doing the whole jealousy angle. Velvet's attractive, she sells the fact she's hot and is getting all the face time while the others don't like it. It's like Ric Flair rubbing Ricky Stemboat's face into the concrete, but not as good. Heck, it's like Trish and Molly feuding because one's not afraid to show the goods. But not as good.

Russo pushes hard for her. Hogan & Bischoff don't book anything involving the women. That's all Russo and Velvet is like his pet project. That's why she had all these angles.
