Even though your overall point is dead-on...have you seen Bob Backlund lately? What makes you certain he could be better than 90 percent of the TNA roster right now? So... Seriously, does this man age?

Bob Backlund is ageless & is crazy as hell. There's only one explanation. Bob Backlund found The One Ring.

Backlund has actually said he feels his stamina is actually BETTER NOW than it was when he was WWF champ. I have NO idea what the hell he is eating or drinking or doing to stay in THAT good of shape, but if he bottled it he would be a billionaire.

I'd love to see Bob come back and win a world title again. He was always one of my favorites. IO never cared as much for the crazy Mr. Bob Backlund as I did for the straight up technical wrestling master Bob Backlund though.

If I'm completely honest.
If Hogan HAD to wrestle his very very very very last match EVER.
I would want it in a WWE ring at Wrestlemania.
That being said I would prefer he didn't take that chance at all.

Bottom line is this: TERRY BOLLEA is ONE bump away from being PARALYZED if "Hulk Hogan" steps into the ring. He needs to stop frakkin thinking like Hulk Hogan and start realizing he is Terry Bollea...husband, father, and human being. I cannot believe there is NO ONE in his inner circle or TNA management who is trying to stop this suicidal idea of him getting into the ring again. Look, he is NOT Bruno...who at his age COULD put on one more big match....he isnt Backlund, who has had no major injuries and can still go better than 90% of the TNA roster. He is one...ONE bump away from being a cripple...with a catheter and a colostomy bag hooked up to him forever. SOMEONE needs to sit this idiot down and explain the facts of life to him. I don't understand that kind of thinking if you're a fan. How does that matter to you? Secondly, you're not a doctor you have no idea to know what his condition is.

If you're a real fan, as opposed to a "fan" (nee, mark), you wouldn't want to see an idol and a pioneer like Hogan who still has a lot of years, maybe decades, of life left in him to cripple himself or damage himself beyond repair. If you really care about Hogan the man, as in Terry Bollea, then you won't want him to screw himself to the wall royally for one more match that no one wants to see. I mean, he's talking about putting on the tights for Sting, for God sakes! I can't think of a young fan who wants to see that or an old fan who hasn't seen it before. This isn't some dream match that he's contemplating crippling himself for, it's a rematch over a decade old! As far as his condition, perhaps we don't know. Maybe he can go; maybe he can go on the road again, if he's rehabbed like that. OR maybe he can't, and his hobbling to the ring isn't some "Russo twist" in the making where all of a sudden, he can move like he did ten years ago. Maybe is time has passed and his bump card is overfull and he needs to let go of the dream, otherwise he could wake up in a nightmare.

Thank you for answering for me far better than I could have ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) As you said, a REAL FAN does NOT want to see a childhood idol (or any athlete) risk being PARALYZED for LIFE for ONE damn throwaway match. A real FAN of this business wants nothing but safety and good health for the men and women who risk their asses every time they step through that ring. It is the height of selfishness to not care about what happens to the man or woman BEHIND the character.

It has to be newz, but if it happens then the match cant be any worse then Bret Hart - McMahon.

Oh yes it can. Hogan alone has been in worse matches than Bret Hart-McMahon.
But, nah, I don't actually think they'll do this. It's on Hogan's wishlist, but it's not the only thing I bet and there's no concrete ground for the company having to do it.
