I'd also like to apologize if it seemed like I was crapping all over Viva's idea, because that wasn't what I wanted to do. And part of the reason I wanted to step down, in addition to feeling burned out, was because I wasn't confident in my ability to do a good job any more. I felt bad about Seth leaving and wondered if I could have booked him better, for one thing. So I might very well be wrong about the TV title and how to defend it; it sure wouldn't be the first time I was wrong about something. Just speaking from experience, though: given the current ratio of match-writers to active roster members, it's not always easy to give everybody equal tv time. As Viva said, the world champion ought to be on tv, but so should guys lower on the card in order for them to build some momentum and one day become world champion themselves. So that's where my reservation about having the TV Champion on every show comes from; I'm worried that somebody else will have to be bumped from a card that otherwise they would've been on...or, if they aren't, that adding a TV title match to a card is going to mean there won't be enough writers to get the show done on time. I hope I'm wrong about that, but that's why I was unsure about it. Also, a lot of the time when you book somebody to face the world champion on tv, they won't like it. People are going to vote for the WHC 90-some percent of the time because they voted for him to win the title in the first place and they think it makes him look bad to get beaten by a non-world-champion. Some of us in this fed really don't like losing. If I'd put Amigo, say, up against Whitey back when Whitey was red hot and had just won the WHC, Amigo wouldn't have liked it, and I wouldn't blame him. So that's another tricky part of booking that I'll be the first to admit I haven't figured out: how to get the champ on tv a lot without seeming like you're feeding guys to him for him to just beat. You know, in regards to that last paragraph, I think people in this federation, which is currently heel heavy, need to expect to lose if they're a bad guy. Period. That's the way it works. If you're a heel, you can still get over, but if you're going to be an asshole, expect to lose more often than you win. It's just the nature of the business, even if this isn't a business. On a separate note, and Socko, this isn't a slight at you or anything, but you spread yourself really thin trying to make everyone happy, and you always have. The way I'll go about booking is going to be fair and balanced. If you promo, you will get matches. If you create conflict in the promo thread, you will get feuds. That's how this thing is going to work. And I'm not talking about Seth Drakin, never admits I'm wrong, acts like a heel but pretends he's a face promoing. That shit doesn't help anyone get over and ends up leaving... Seth Drakin mad after getting 4 main events on a PPV in a row. I'm talking about get in there, get creative, make yourself a character. If you're difficult to book for, like Seth Drakin must have been, I will come to you and ask you what you're looking for. It's that simple. If you don't promo, you won't be booked. That means goodbye to people like black rose and Colt on the cards. It's just not fair to everyone else. If you want a squash match, we have NPC jobbers for that. Otherwise, I think every match should be competitive. That's all.

I tried to convince you to give someone a rub, and you were too selfish to do even that. So, frankly, no. I won't shut the hell up. Your character is a heat killer and you are kind of a selfish jerk about it. If you don't like it, stop reading.

You are the only one who seems to keep harping on this. When you make comments the way you have, you are making things personal and the sooner you realize this, the better. To not make things personal, could you stop mentioning me because everytime you do..............you make very assholish comments.

He was already more over than you were. And no, I'm not making anything personal. You just don't like my opinion. Which is fine. But I'm definitely allowed to state it. I like you as a person. However, I hated your character and the way you left. Two vastly different things. If you're bleeding them together, don't. Because it's not personal. This is for fun.

Ok, this has been bothering me for a while now.
~ Are my constant changes hard to book around? I've tried to atleast stay somewhat realistic. the "Magic Tapeworm" thing was just an excuse to drop 100 pounds while being the same guy.
~ While I'll never intentionally use another character in a promo without permission, if I make allusio to you try to respond somehow.
~ I honestly NEED someone to promo off of, but be warned, I'm trying to be a goofy character. A Straight-man would be appreciated, but don't do grimdark or I WILL BE MERCILESS. I've had JUST about enough of grimdark in what I thought was a "Happy, semi-nonsensical" E-fed. I'm basically armed with a Rubber Chicken against someone threatening horribly bloody murder......Do you see the issue?

If you think about it, The General is a man that think he leads an army of monkeys, has two monkeys for mangers (one which he slept with), and now has a wind up monkey that helps sell him WWCF stuff. Being SRS is the last thing I want to do with the General because the last time I did that it went over like a fart in church.

Then again, John Cena and Randy Orton are amongst the most hated (and beloved) characters in WWE. I personally don't care for them. So if that's who you're comparing your character to, I feel that's valid. Neither of them ever show any weakness, either. Or they explain it away.

I cannot do SRS.
B.A (First Iteration) was the cosest to sereious I've ever done.
He quickly went from serious model to mincing camp where I was basically going to see how far I could start basically doing Major Armstrong from FMA before someone got pissed.

...On a separate note, and Socko, this isn't a slight at you or anything, but you spread yourself really thin trying to make everyone happy, and you always have. That s*** doesn't help anyone get over and ends up leaving... That's all. I agree that it's sometimes impossible to make everybody happy, and there have been a few times when somebody's come to me with an idea and I've told them "No, that won't work because it's going to conflict with something else that this other guy's already doing." But I still figured I ought to try, since if everybody was happy then nobody would leave. Which is not to say that I rewarded non-promoing. Colt and Black Rose had cut promos, and Colt used to be pretty reliable in that regard. So with those guys, I left Colt off the card until he made his return and did it with a promo, and I thought "Okay, he's back, I'll book him on the show." Then he disappeared, but I thought "Well, I'll give him a couple weeks before I drop him entirely. Besides, I already had this tournament thiing worked out and he was already in it, so it's too late to take him out." With Black Rose, I gave him a debut vs. a jobber and after he was quiet for a while I didn't book him...until he asked for a match. I figured that he'd promo either heading into that match or following it, and that since I took the pinfall instead of him that he wouldn't get discouraged about losing. That wasn't the way things worked out, and since he hasn't been around I haven't put him in any more matches. As far as Seth's character went, it had good points and bad. But I wish that it had been possible to make the character better and retain a guy who had been around since the beginning instead of ending things with him leaving. While I can't say that I've always been a fan of Viva's particular brand of brutal honesty, I'd say it's better than the opposite. If I had a choice in real life about whether I wanted people to be brutally honest with me all the time or tell me what I wanted to hear all the time, I wouldn't like either choice very much (ideally I'd want honesty with some tact mixed in) but I'd take the brutal honesty, because then at least I could try to improve on whatever was wrong with me. So I'm gonna speak up here and say that there are some people who don't take it very well when they lose championships. I get that. But here's the thing: there are some people who've never won that championship that you held, and compared to them you are lucky. And if you complain about it too much, then it might come across as a sense of entitlement, which is gonna rub people the wrong way. If you win, great. If you lose, try not to let it get to you, and try not to bitch about it too much because that can lead to people voting against you. At least one guy voted against Jono this time around because of his reaction to losing to Punisher, because basically "Wait, he won several matches in a row, became world champion, and now he's complaining after he loses once? That's bullshit. I don't want to vote for him."

Written as I'm writing my match: I (as myself) tend to be a more serious character than normal, my love of Pokemon notwithstanding in spite of its evidence. I don't think I fare too well being goofy or anything. As Shaelin, I can somewhat loosen up a bit as she is more of an outlet for my inherant lunacy. Other hand, I am contemplating taking myself (as Richlen) in a very strange direction soon, kind of playing off an exchange between me and LodiRulz earlier this year.

In my case I'd be fine with having Blood be the straight man in a comedic segment. I tried to make the Chamber Of Horrors match a mixture of comedy and a serious contest for an important prize because I was worried that I'd been playing Blood as too SRS and that it'd get old after a while if I didn't do something silly now and then. I don't know how well it worked, but that was what I was going for. Ideally I'd like Blood to be like Chris Hero in the indies. Because--language warning for the following videos--Chris Hero can do both comedy... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhS39So9-mY...and serious stuff... www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uEItmSP2mg

...On a separate note, and Socko, this isn't a slight at you or anything, but you spread yourself really thin trying to make everyone happy, and you always have. That s*** doesn't help anyone get over and ends up leaving... That's bulls***. I don't want to vote for him." I was constantly giving Seth advise about his character. At the end of the day, his batteries lost their charge. He says he won't be back, but I think everyone hopes he'll get a refresher and come back. By the end of this run, though, it was nigh unbearable. And that's not an insult or slander to him as a person, only his character. People, keep it in perspective. Though I realize these characters are an extension of ourselves, they aren't us. It's foolish to get offended by critique, whether it be blunt or otherwise, of your character. That's what we're here for. To make each other better. Or at least that's why I'm here. People constantly shoot me ideas via PM and I listen to them all. Hell, BRB was the one (I believe, if IIRC) who even gave me the whole kayfabe breaking conspiracy idea. That's what this is about. Having fun. And I was one of the people who didn't vote for JoNo strictly on account of his complaining about losing. If you want to complain about how the votes shake out, take it to PM or something. If you do it openly, it makes me think you're pandering for votes. You should get votes on the merits of your promos and character, not because of OOC complaining. (I was guilty of whining earlier in my WWCF campaign as well. It's just not a good look.)
