After almost a year of hearing naysayers complain that Bane was a bad choice as the villain for this film, that Tom Hardy looked "too small" to play him, or that the mask "looks stupid," it is nice to see all the doubters silenced. It will be an awesome film.

It will be an awesome film. They're only silenced cause they want complete quiet while hearing the mush mouth dialog.

I hope this movie has closed captioning because it's going to be hard as hell to hear Batman and Bane when both of them start talking.

I hope this movie has closed captioning because it's going to be hard as hell to hear Batman and Bane when both of them start talking. Bare in mind that any vids you see of the trailer/prologue right now are bootlegged by people with camera's in the theater, so the sound quality will be second-hand. But even then, Nolan has admitted in some scenes it may be hard to completely understand Bane because of the mask and his supposed injuries suffered before the start of the movie. Guess Nolan's fondness for realism worked against us in this case.

The trailer was great, but I'm not gonna lie, the part where the football player doesn't notice the explosion until he turns around was something Uwe Boll would do.

Guess Nolan's fondness for realism worked against us in this case. Having seen the preview at my local imax... I had a pretty hard time making out what he was say. It was very muffled and I couldn't really make it out. However, my girlfriend, who has better hearing than I, could hear everything he said and was really impressed by Bane (and apart from once watching The Dark Knight because she had an old crush on Heath Ledger, she is in no way a Batman fan). So yeah, it might be a subjective thing depending on the individual's hearing and taste but I was definitely struggling. Though the mask looks AWESOME on the big screen.

I think I heard Bane say, '....(something something) to die!'

Nolan said what you hear of Bane's voice in the prologue and trailer won't be the final product. He stated that there will be additional sound improvements until the films release.

I don't get this PROTECT THE TRAILER attitude of studios. Millions of people want to see this trailer, it's a commercial, show it!

Probably because Warner attached it to one of the big tentpole releases of the year. Wanna see the trailer, pay money to see our other movie as well. It'll be online by Monday.

"When Gotham is in Ashes you have my permission to die" Ah, that sounds about right. Couldn't quite make out the first bit. Chances are they released the trailer with this in mind, to see what reaction would be to Bane's voice.

If Bane can't take off the mask, how does he eat?
