When I was a kid, I thought "No Retreat, No Surrender" was a bad ass movie. I went back and watched it a few years ago, and while I at least laughed at it, I felt compelled to apologize to my parents for all the repeat viewings back in the day.

Any computer thrilled from the 90's when people still thought it was some sorcery box.. ie Hackers, The Net, Swordfish. I was gonna say Hackers also, but not just because of the computers. The whole film screams "we're so hip and cool". Now it just looks so dated.

To me nothing dates a movie more than poor CG, which was very prevalent in mid-late 90s escapades such as Blade, Escape from LA, The Frighteners. Practical effects 4 Life.

Clueless. It basically SCREAMS "this is the 90s!". It doesnt help matters that Alicia Silverstone is no longer popular. The Brady Bunch movie is the same way. They went overboard with the 90's pop culture references. I love the Brady movies more today than I did then. They aren't overly 90's they are more about how a later decade (the 90's) looked at a previous decade (the 70's) and it is such a weird meld and both sides are nostalgic now so it has an odd resonance.

Tron. Not just the effects looking outdated, the whole thing just seems dated. That's what I came in here to say. I rented it before seeing the sequel and didn't enjoy it.

The Spider Man movies for some reason have degraded in my mind for some reason. Maybe my distaste of the third has done it,but the other two aren't looked back as fondly as they should be when I think of them.

Sorry guys, but I always seem to get a chuckle out of people pretending they are critics. Especially the language used and the general snobby tone. Anyways, back to your fun!

Funny you mention that, because I always get a kick out of drive-by posts. Next time, be a little more condescending. Maybe go into a Daniel Bryan Appreciation Thread to talk about how much DB sucks. Opinions are the heart and soul of internet message boards. Thanks for expressing yours!

The original Richard Donner/Christopher Reeves Superman movie from 1978. Great for its time, but by modern standards its interpretation of the Superman mythos and superhero movies in general is insanely outdated. I think in the end this is why Superman Returns failed - Bryan Singer was more concerned with modernizing the 70's Superman movie then actually making a modern Superman movie.

As much as i love the Waynes World movies they definitely qualify as well. Theres just too much of an early 90s feel to them. Doesnt mean that they still arent good, just not exactly relevant. Ditto for the Bill and Ted series. We definitely need another duo like those guys (harold and kumar doesnt count, all the drug refs just make them this generation's cheech and chong).
