Yeah, I've tried and tried to watch CBS comedies. I just don't find them funny at all. Which is odd with alot of the people that are in them. I don't particularly care for ABC's comedies either. The only CBS comedy I enjoy (and even love), is How I Met Your Mother. The others don't do much for me. The only NBC comedy I enjoy (and even love), is Community. The others don't do much for me. I don't care for any of ABC's comedies, and that includes the ever-so loved Modern Family. So as you can see, as far as I'm concerned, the addition or exclusion of laugh tracks don't determine how I enjoy my comedies. Your mileage may vary. I will be honest....the laugh track kind of got to me on that new show "whitney". Of course, the lack of comedy kind of got to me as well.

Yeah people are bashing the CBS comedies because they still use the laugh track and NBC and ABC dont thus they are superior. I see whats going on. I actually like the laugh track. It's one thing I actually miss about the old days.

I was watching it and not laughing with the jokes, and the forced hysterical laughter turned me off. Although I think I remember them stating right before the show starts that the show is taped in front of a live studio audience. So that could probably explain the "forced" feeling I was getting. It was as if every line that came out of their mouths resulted in "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! OH MY GOD THAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!". Of course, I'm just paraphrasing, and possibly exaggerating. The same could be said about 2 Broke Girls.

With Me, I don't watchy anything on CBS, NBC, or ABC....namely because my Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are being controlled by Fox Also on a random note....I will never forgive NBC for replacing The Voice for this piece of crap known as The Sing Off It was replaced? I didn't know that. I thought it was a hit show (from what I heard)? It is, and I don't mean like it was cancelled, I meant they are pushing The Sing Off like Fox pushes X Factor, and yet I had to find out a few days ago I missed auditions for The Voice

I'm just gonna throw out that I think laugh tracks should've died years ago.
Also, there are a few Limp Bizkit songs I like. Most suck, yeah, but some are alright. And if they put him in another SvR game I'd mark.

Sheesh. So much for giving the show a chance.
Anyway, Gold Cobra did come out to sadly no support from radio stations despite it being IMO their best work since Significant Other. It did not do well in record sales but i'm sure a couple of the songs would have been hits in the late 90's early 2000's...which for me, being a 90's guy means the songs kick ass.

CBS has given TV shows to Rob Schneider & Fred Durst. They are now actively trying to prove to the other networks that they could air 30 minutes of basically nothing and still pull a 6.0 rating.

Wow. Excluding How I Met Your Mother, CBS has some of the worst comedy shows. Big Bang Theory is really good. How I met your mother has sucked for the last two seasons, I watch out of habit now. Also, I'm really enjoying that new show they have called two broke chicks. Mostly because I think Kat Dennings is smoking but I like it a lot. And I loved Limp Bizkit back in the day, still love a lot of their songs and will definitely give the show a shot when it premiers.

I'm not sure what to make of this. I mean Fred Durst is about a Q Level celebrity that hasn't been relevant in 10 or so years and is generally thought of as a joke. That's not even mentioning that he's not an actor. I predict a pilot will be filmed, and it will crash and burn due to pilot error.

Here's the thing that I think that people forget about Fred Durst; he has not only been involved in making his own music. He has produced music for bands like Staind and Puddle of Mudd. He has directed a lot of music videos (and most of those videos actually worked well. He saved the suck for some of his own band's videos, to be honest). He has done some acting and did not stink up the joint in the limited things that I have seen him in. He actually is starting out with more basic show business knowledge than several comedians who got their own shows have had.

NBC has always intended for it to return in January.

the thread title could have been "Fred Durst gets a sitcom on...." and I think 99% of people would have said, "gotta be CBS." I would have gone with FOX myself.

Is there an actual difference between all of these karoake shows? The Voice has blind auditions and coaches that eliminate people until the last 8 or so. Other than that, nothing significant.

Yeah people are bashing the CBS comedies because they still use the laugh track and NBC and ABC dont thus they are superior. I see whats going on. See: Whitney. That's a sitcom on NBC that uses the "three-camera" function and a laugh track from the early 1990s.
