Regardless of what some people may think, you can't deny that that this scene was over-the-top, yet fun:

I loved the first film but feel that they waited far too long for the sequel.

The first one was alright. But I have not seen Bad Boys II. You ain't seen Bad Boys II? ^^^ Never saw it actually, but now I want to. I'll grab a copy next time I'm renting movies. Yeah, it's a pretty awesome movie. Plus, it has one of my favorite lines EVER. Yes, EVER. You know what line I'm talking about if you've seen it. "Your best? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f*** the prom queen." Or "Okay, I don't want to know nothing. I never saw you throw that gentleman off the balcony. All I care about is: are you happy with your haircut?"

The first one was a pretty slick film, all things considered. No one expected high brow entertainment, but it actually had a great combination of action, character interplay, and a reasonable plot.
The second one was way too over the top, and pushed the inconceivability of things way too far. I'm willing to buy in to an extent, but the second one didn't just make me take my rose colored glasses off, it made me take them back to the optometrist and tell him to give my money back.

two biggest problems with Bad Boys II: 1. the villain was beyond lame, especially when compared to the first movie 2. I can't stand Gabrielle Union in general, but my god was she out of place in this movie The first one was alright. But I have not seen Bad Boys II. You ain't seen Bad Boys II? I bet he's never even fired a gun in the air whilst going "Ahhhhhhhh!!!"

Saw the first one in theaters when it came out, and remember enjoying it, but haven't seen it in all the years since. Never saw the second.

In fairness, those of us that haven't seen it probably don't wanna incur the paperwork that ensues from a non-stop action thrill ride.

IMO, both movies are quite atrocious. Having said that, the first is the superior of the two. The second might very well be the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater. Incomprehensible plot, unbelievably unfunny "humor," and the usual Bay ADD shaki-cam at its MOST grating. It all adds up to one big shit sandwich, but the humor is really where these movies fail. The Bad Boys flicks basically have one joke - Smith and Lawrence calling each other some variation of a moron. To me, it's one of those things that's funny for about five minutes but then gets old REALLY fast.
Slightly OT, but I have never laughed at Martin Lawrence in anything. He might very well be the most unfunny human being on the planet.
