Ron White Patton Oswalt Maria Bamford
I also like Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy, but not nearly on the level as the top 3 I mentioned. Bill used to be funnier. Not to sound like a hipster, but he was his best when he was unknown except by radio DJ's.

I like that Engvall has branched out from the "Only one gag" Here's Your Sign, deal, and become an actual standup comic.

Katt Williams Steve Harvey Ricky Smalley Greg Giraldo (RIP) Ron White Larry the Cable Guy Jeff Foxworthy Chris Rock George Lopez and of course Dave Chappell
I'm sure there are others that I find funny, at least most of the time.

The lack of Bob Marley in this thread is appalling.

I haven't read anyone else's responses, so here are mine. (hopefully no duplicates, but probably...) Louis C.K. Patton Oswalt, David Cross, and the rest of the Comedians of Comedy, including sometimes-member Eugene Mirman Lewis Black Dave Chappelle Chris Rock Um, those are the "must-see" comedians for me; there are others that I like, I'm sure, but I can't think of them. Oh, I also don't HATE Dane Cook; he's actually gotten quite a few laughs out of me. EDIT:in no particular order George Carlin Mitch Hedberg Norm MacDonald Whitney Cummings Greg Giraldo How I forgot these names is beyond me. All very, very funny people, and I see big things in Whitney Cummings's future.

It begins and ends with Sam Kinnison for me. I don't care how many times I hear his stuff, it always make me laugh out loud, over and over again.

Chris Rock Dave Chappelle Kevin Hart Patrice Oneal (he would be a lot more famous if he didn't have such an attitude problem though) Katt Williams Corey Holcomb Louis C.K. (only sometimes)
Patrice Oneal actually auditioned for the part of the dad on Everybody Hates Chris and according to Chris, his audition was better than Terry Crews, but didn't get the part because of his attitude.

In no particular order:
Mitch Hedberg Louis C.K. Patton Oswalt David Cross Greg Proops Nick Swardson Lewis Black Dimitri Martin Zach Galifinakis Dave Chappelle Bill Hicks Ron White Bernie Mac Stephen Lynch (I think he counts) Greg Behrendt Katt Williams Dane Cook (occasionally) Sarah Silverman (Yes, I legitimately find her funny. I know, I'm such a horrible person.) Slovin & Allen Michael Ian Black
A lot more that just aren't coming to mind right now, as well.

Comedy is very subjective, but, IMO, Craig Ferguson is a very funny man. I have no idea what he's like as a stand-up (perhaps youtubing is in order), but, if it's as good as his monologues and whatnot, it should be awesome.

I could name names until next Tuesday, so I'll try and keep it a bit brief. (Thankfully, I can't remember each and every one I consider funny.)
George Carlin Sam Kinison Richard Jeni Rodney Dangerfield Bernie Mac (I didn't like him at first, but really warmed up to his work.)
Nice way to start off a list. I'll perk us up and name those still with us.
Bill Cosby Bob Newhart Don Rickles The Smothers Brothers Andy Griffith Steve Harvey Chris Rock Eddie Murphy Kathleen Madigan Kathy Griffin (Yes, I find her funny.) Caroline Rhea Chelsea Peretti Jeff Foxworthy Bill Engvall Larry the Cable Guy (Yes, I think he's funny.)
I can watch almost anybody and get a few laughs from them.

Here is my list:
-Jeff Dunham-I've seen him live twice and I don't think I stopped laughing either time.
-Bill Cosby-"Himself" is a must see for any comedy fan. It's very funny and the entire family can watch it because the subject matter is far from raunchy.
-Robin Williams-Say what you will about some of his movies. He is a great stand-up comedian. His "Live on Broadway" HBO Special is very good.
-Lewis Black-His on-stage persona is very good and it works very well with his material.

Not here to just copy peoples' lists, but I agree with a lot of the mentions. One I haven't seen so far is Doug Stanhope. With all the Carlin, Hicks, and Leary mentions I'd think that'd be a given. Or maybe I'm just the deviant sicko degenerate that constitutes Stanhope's audience.
And also a mention for Joe Rogan.
