God, don't make me choose....Kharma and Ricardo were just tremendous as surprises...
Kharma. Mostly because I did NOT expect it at all.

I always thought Road Dogg was underrated and it looked like he didn't miss a beat. It's like Road Dogg and BG James are two different people. I didn't think he could bring the same energy he had in the 90s.

Don't no-sell Cole. I really enjoyed him. He really played the heel announcer in the ring well, It was almost Heenenesque.

Ricardo gets the overall win. The shitty car, the beat-up scarf and then the actual performance. Wonderful.
Kharma gets shock of the night. Surprise entrance, kicked some ass, good stuff. Looked great for just having a kid, too!
Road Dogg was just tremendous.
The pop Hacksaw Duggan got warmed my heart.
Ah, don't make me choose!!!

My usually cool coworker had an uncharacteristically gleeful reaction to Lawler (obviously he was not familiar with his 1997 appearance). His reaction made my night, so I'll toss Lawler a vote though if it were me I'd probably pick Kharma.
By the way, was this Kharma's first on-camera match?

Kharma, never in a million years did I ever expect her to be in this year's Rumble.
And yes this is her first match in WWE (I don't recall her in any house show matches [only interferences]).

Definitely a tie between Kharma and Ricardo.
Ricardo for comedy purposes. Kharma for all around awesome purposes.

Any other year, Ricardo would have won it easily for me. But I'm actually tearing up a little thinking about Kharma coming back. She was the best surprise entrant in the entire history of the Rumble for me <3

Instead of starting a whole new post...did I not call it the other day?
Although, Riocardo takes the cake with his Alberto impression!

Road Dogg.
Ricardo wasn't that surprising as he's been used without Alberto recently. And while Kharma was a big surprise, we knew we'd see her in the ring again soon enough.
But once OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?! rang over the speakers, I marked like a 12 year old Striker. Something I had thought might happen, but that didn't actually sink in until it did.

Road Dogg, I loved it, even though it wasn't a surprise for me because my mate was like "Road Dogg is gonna make an appearance in the rumble tonight" I HATE SPOILERS!!

Ricardo, easily. He nailed the mannerisms during the entrance and the beat-up car was HILARIOUS.

With EIGHT surprise guest appearances, plus two challengers from the night's world title matches all squeezed into a 30-man Rumble, it's really a sad testament to how thin and devoid of exciting wrestlers the roster is these days. And that's with scraping the bottom of the barrel with spots for guys like Jinder and Epico and an Uso who the commentators don't even bother to remember the first name of.
If they hadn't had all the novelty acts lined up, I shudder to think what the Rumble would've looked like. 1995?
(With that complaining out of the way, Ricardo's entire segment was brilliance from start to finish. Up until Sheamus won, that was easily my favorite moment of the entire night.)

What was the pop for each of the surprises if I may ask (or the boos for Cole)

Ricardo was absolute hilarity.
Kharma was second best, and I was crazy surprised when she came out.
