That's good that others told you about the pyro. Yep, it's loud. I always hated the pyro .

Alright, let's cut the crap right now. Do not get super-excited about your first live event. I've been to two live events. 1 - WWE Taboo Tuesday 2004 in Milwaukee 2 - ROH Vendetta 11/5/2005 in Chicago Ridge The first show was AWFUL. Being there live did NOT change my opinion that I would have had watching it on TV. After the cage match, I looked at my friend and asked, "That's it?" I had a good time talking to some of the fans, but just seeing Chris Benoit, one of my heroes, live wasn't gonna do it for me. When I or someone else pays $70 for me to go to the show, I don't think it's asking too much for just ONE ****+ match. The second show, on the other hand, far exceeded my expectations by producing three great matches, with one of them being a legitimate match of the year candidate. I had more fun talking to the fans, and while some of the ROHbots seemed like jackasses, most of them were very knowledgeable of the business and knew how to be sarcastic (Snitsky vs. Boogeyman main eventing WM 22 for an HOUR... Kennel from Hell? Classic garbage ideas), which is one of my favorite hobbies. The best part. I only paid $15. In comparison - WWE show was $70. Best match pulled no more than ***1/2. ROH show was $15. Best match was a legitimate match of the year contender, and two other matches were in the ****+ area. My point is to not get too pumped up, or else you'll be greatly disappointed. *coughROHbotcough*

I'm going to the one in Sioux Falls, SD on March 26. Will be my second. The first one I saw in Anaheim, when Kane and Lita got married. It was really fun, but yes the pyro was loud and VERY hot. The people I found most annoying were the ones under 12 years old, but no fan ever ruins a show by chanting annoying things. I'm looking forward to mine .

i havent been to an episode of RAW or Smackdown! being in Austrlia, but i have been to two house shows... 1 Raw and 1 SD and here are what i learnt
the fans are alot more appreciative (then again WWE rarely come to Australia)
bring heaps of cash if you want to buy something... but remeber if you get a shirt, within 2 months it would be old and there will be a new shirt to get
food and drink are a rip off... eat alot before you go and have a stop off a McDonalds planned
nothing is more fun than joining in with a WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! chant or a chant that runs down a top carder like cena
Nothing makes you feel better when the arena chant a chant that was started by you
WWE performers try and be as friendly to the fans as possible
NEVER be ashamed to show who you go for
mentioning ANYTHING about another promotion should be banned... why go to a WWE event if all you do is compare it to TNA?
if you get annoyed by a few people near by DO NOT start something, just yell stuff to annoy them... e.g. at a SD event i went to last year these two guys infront of me kept running down eddie and rey, so everytime they would open their mouth, me and my sister would yell out GO EDDIE or GO REY as loud as we could... it shut them up

Colt is right on point about everything especially the food. Have a good meal before you get to the event cause the food and drink like he said is ridicu . . ridicoul. . . okay sorry I can't spell it . . just say they aren't that good.
WOOOOOO is a blast. Heck before Heat even began at the Norfolk show we were all WOOOOing as a warm up it seems.
Also allow yourself to just sit back and have a good time. Don't try to analyze ever match . . don't sit there thinking you have better.
Bfran is right there is a possibility of going to a bad show (I went to a Nitro in 97 that wasn't that great) but don't like that possibility ruin looking foward to it. You have the ticket you are going . . . and just assure yourself your going to have a good time. Chances are you probably will.

I do believe that being at a live show does make a good show brilliant and a bad show better
For instance the 1st live show I had been to in years was in 2004, I almost went hoarse after all the shouting that I did at the 1st match, it's combatants? Orlando Jordan and Chuck Palumbo. Being there gives it an extra thrill
And last year I again went to a show, which was actually quite good in terms of matches/superstars. One of my favorite moments was shouting abuse at John Cena throughout the main event lol.

I had a much better time @ an ROH event than I did @ Taboo Tuesday. Now, had I been @ an ROH event such as Night of the Grudges II or Trios Tournament 2005 which were reported "bad" ROH shows, then maybe I'd feel differently. But Vendetta was just an awesome show, whereas the first Taboo Tuesday was just boring (except for the opener and cage match, neither of which I would categorize as "great.")
