Oh, and for a couple of years my family would get together and all watch Space Jam, of all things. Not that I was complaining.

Thanksgiving: Blood Freak (a biker smokes pot, then eats turkeys that were made to ingest pot, and becomes a turkey-headed vampire who kills people and drinks their blood) Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
December: Elf Santa Claus Conquers the Martians Black Christmas Batman-Batman Returns-Batman Forever-Batman & Robin (yeah, only Returns is Christmas-themed, but I feel compelled to watch all 4) A Christmas Story (I'm mostly sick of it by now, but my oldest sister insists on putting it on every year)

A Christmas Story. Always that. Along with any Peanuts Christmas specials. And A Garfield Christmas.

Home Alone 1 and 2, The Grinch, and Friday After Next are the only three Christmas movies I bother trying to catch around this time. Now those animated Christmas specials, on the other hand...

I guess I was the only who mentioned Die Hard 2. Anyway, there are plenty of movies on Lifetime and Hallmark that I should check out.

Saw that one a day ago. The Denny's part is particularly funny to anyone from America. People make fun of the restaurant but it is good, family eating.

Not really an overt Christmas movie, but there's a really charming film called The Holiday with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, and Jude Law. Its a romantic comedy, but its really down to earth and features some good realistic characters. Worth a watch if you get the chance.
