This movie is never going to get a fair shot. People want it to be bad and are ready to bash it from the go. I hope its at least decent.

One of the comments summed it up well, he looks like a pallette swap of Voldermort.
I'm looking forward to this though, both because I'm a Spider-Man nerd and it'll get people to shut up about 3 (which wasn't that bad, IMO).

Too soon for a Spiderman reboot.
They should have stuck with Raimi/Maguire and learned lessons from Spiderman 3 and stripped down the amount of characters and CGI for Spiderman 4.

I think that is mid-transformation and later on in the film we see him morph more into an actual lizard. From those who saw the Comic-Con footage they say he's extremely huge, very Lizard like, and downright frightening.
Honestly, all we have to go on is the teaser trailer. If Sony and Webb want to generate some buzz, they need to release more footage and show the differences between this one and Raimi's version. All this being secretive, not releasing any good pictures, or a decent trailer is hurting it in my opinion.
Look at how Nolan is doing it. He is having a 6 minute prologue attached to Mission Impossible 4, plus a new trailer attached to Sherlock Holmes.

I was thinking of something else when I saw that thread title. Then it would've been "Spider-Man's Amazing Lizard revealed!"

Depends whether you consider his lizard to be amazing or not, I guess.

While I'll agree it didn't really need a reboot per so; and I was nonplussed by the idea of this flick, I'm getting more excited about it as time goes by, and the more that comes out about it.
If the Lizard is more lizard-like in the final product, or if he looks more like this, I'll be fine with it.
As much as I liked the first two Spidey flicks, ( and honestly, after picking up 3 a few months ago for like two dollars, my stance on it has softened to where I can enjoy the good), a lot of those flicks haven't aged all that well; and whereas I thought Tobey was great as Peter when I first saw them, I dunno, he doesn't seem the perfect fit I once thought.
Really the only untouchable thing in those flicks as demonstrated by someone's sig even is J.K. Simmons as JJJ. When/if they have Jonah in this new set of flicks, he needs to be playing him.

I just can't wait to see a fight between Spider-Man and the Lizard in the sewers.

^ That looks terrible. Like something out of a direct to dvd Asylum monster movie. Where is his scientist coat? Why does his face still look human it should have more of a crocodile/aligator snout to it. This is not the lizard. The Lizard should look like this ...

Back in the day Lizard had a pretty scruntched up face, actually sometimes he's drawn pretty flat faced even in this day.
Although based on leaked stuff he in fact has a long alligator-ish face in the new movie, so the flat faced look may be an inbetween transformation.

You can say its just concept art or mid transformation all you want all I know is that Ive seen so many comic book movies where they dont look like how they do in the comic so I would bet all the money I have that flat faced "naked" Lizard is how he looks and theres no alligator face or lab coat.
