It has been reported in several newspapers that Wrestlemania III will emanate, at least in part, from Toronto. After the catastrophe of Wrestlemania II, however, supposedly the WWF isn't nearly as gung-ho about the idea of having III as you'd be led to believe, tho I'm sure they'll do it.

Expect Jake Roberts to be introduced at the 6/16 Clash, although it could be as a surprise at one of the PPV shows.
May 30, 1994
Apparently the original idea for the 7/17 PPV show was a tag match (either Hogan & Flair vs. Rude & Mr. Perfect or Hogan & Sting vs. Flair & Rude) where Rude was going to do the job at the end.

Scott Hall did debut at the television tapings last week as a heel using the ring name Razor Ramone doing a biker gimmick. Obviously he didn't do well since it wasn't supposed to be a try-out, but his matches won't be airing because they need to do more work on the gimmick. He was supposed to be in a few television matches and was replaced in those matches by Kimala.
I'm not sure if this is bad info that Meltzer received or if he originally was supposed to be a biker.

There is talk of doing a valet feud with Cheryl Roberts and Raven (in reality Rick Rude's sister) although I'm told there will be no physical stuff involved if this comes to pass.

A new heel manager is headed in called Brother Love or something like that, patterned after Brother Ernest Angel. I've got a feeling I know who this masked manager is but will wait until he actually arrives.

The California tour was 6/10 to 6/12 with shows in San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles. Roddy Piper did show up in Los Angeles which was his first bout in a month. He's been hanging out in Hillsborough[sic], Oregon at his new ranch they tell me and has seriously talked with Crockett during that time. Someone even told me Roddy is trying to become the ultimate outlaw in wrestling--work for both Crockett and Vince at the same time. Good luck.

Kerry Von Erich, whose career was for all real purposes finished in a motorcycle accident just over a year ago, had his bad ankle fused about a week ago as the doctors could really do nothing else to return it to normal. The ankle joint is basically welded in a walking position, which means it has no flexibility and any kind of movement requiring dexterity is out of the question. I don't doubt we'll be seeing occasional gimmick matches and "Kerry comebacks" over the years, but this fusing of the joint puts the finishing pages on any hope of a full enough recovery to allow him to ever resume a legitimate wrestling career.

Hillbilly Jim has quit the WWF which is why nobody has seen him around. They wanted to get rid of the Hillbilly act anyway since it's run its course.

Oz is in jeopardy, not because anyone decided the gimmick didn't work, but because he didn't sign one of those $300 per night deals and supposedly anyone who doesn't is going to be history.

This is a what if Nash leaves WCW in 1991 and joins WWF type of thing.

Richard Morton is gone for six months although there is talk he'll be brought back perhaps with Robert Gibson after they feel the fans have forgotten how buried he was.

Threw in a bonus because I saw that I repeated one during this week last year.

The biggest rumor of the week, and you'll have a chance to find out if it's true or not on Tuesday, is that Bam Bam Bigelow is going to wind up in boxing. Bigelow told several friends that an announcement would be made on July 25th during George Foreman's fight that would begin Bigelow, the 6-2 1/2, 390 pound tattooed-headed monster, as a pro boxer and he'd be build up for an eventual fight with Mike Tyson. This seems illogical for several reasons, mainly because Bigelow has no prior boxing experience that I know of (he does have amateur wrestling and martial arts experience). At the same time, Tyson has no legit boxing contenders, with the exception of Evander Holyfield and they are trying to keep from making that match for about two years so Tyson has to be kept busy against someone and perhaps Don King thinks he could market Bigelow as the ultimate monster, similar to the marketing Vince McMahon has done with Zeus.

If Jesse Ventura does indeed leave, and people are talking more and more like that is an inevitability, then expect them to use Lord Al Hayes as a heel announcer on one of the shows and focus more on Bobby Heenan as lead heel announcer.

Terry Taylor is definitely through and is trying to get back with the WWF or indie dates. He was offered a spot to come back under a hood as Mr. Wrestling III, a protege of Mr. Wrestling II, but it isn't going to materialize.

In what could prove to be the sparks of one of the biggest stories of the year, the Road Warriors will be meeting with Vince McMahon Jr. this week.
August 28, 1989
Titan has added a two-and-a-half hour PPV on Wednesday, December 27th with show time at 2 p.m. Eastern time which would be the movie "No Holds Barred," a video piece concerning the making of the movie, plus two main events and the article stated these would be live matches. The article stated the main event would include a Hulk Hogan title defense, but didn't list Zeus (as I'm sure they don't want that info out until after Summerslam) as the opponent.

The original line-up (for Halloween Havoc) had Jim Herd's Hunchbacks gimmick (they asked Kevin Sullivan to return and be one of them) but it looks like that idea was dropped.

Been busy so here's a few from the last month
September 8, 1990
Hogan will be taking a break for a few months to begin filming on "Urban Commando," the first of three flicks in his movie deal. He plays an intergalactic superhero space mercenary who winds up on Earth. Ugh. Well, at least he isn't an intergalactic superhero ex-wrester space mercenary. Interestingly enough, the second flick is called "Ugh". No, it's not a movie about Hogan's choreographed hulk-out, finger-wag, three-fist, foot-to-the-face, legdrop finish, although it too is a comedy.
September 19, 1994
The television commentary seems to hint of an eventual turn back by Owen Hart, although not in the near future, and of course the face turn and split-up of Diesel and Shawn Michaels, and they've even teased Doink going with Ted DiBiase but they may just be a tease.
September 26, 1991 Big rumour that the Nasty Boys are on their way out of the WWF. They've demanded $600000 from Vince, who isn't particularly eager to comply. Their contracts are up in November and if negotiations fall through, there is talk that they will return to WCW.
September 28, 1992
Butch Reed, who just debuted two weeks earlier, was fired Tuesday after no-showing the television taping in Macon, GA without calling ahead of time with an explanation. WCW had a storyline set up involving Reed which was to start in Macon and had to be postponed. The company was attempting to find a replacement for Reed to debut at Center Stage on Monday night. Mondo Kleen (a larger version of Teijo Khan, both in ability, charisma, and physique) was offered the spot apparently on Friday, and then called Titan and got a starting date with them at Titan's October tapings.
October 7, 1999
Taz & Kimona have signed contracts with the WWF. If she has kept up appearances, Kimona instantly becomes the hottest woman in the WWF.

The complete plans for Titan's Survivor Series appear to have been finalized....The other bout will be a 10-woman tag team match with the babyface side of Moolah & Debbie Combs (what a pairing) & Velvet McIntyre & two others against Sherri Martel & Leilani Kai & Judy Martin & two others.
Octobet 19, 1987
Titan Sports has announced the line-up of its 11/11 Saturday Night's Main Event taping at the Seattle Center Coliseum. The top matches will be Hulk Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy with Andre the Giant in Bundy's corner, Randy Savage vs. Bret Hart (since it'll be on network TV, both guys will have their working shoes on and it should be a tremendous match), Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Hercules Hernandez, Hillbilly Jim vs. Ted DiBiase, Jim Duggan vs. Harley Race and George Steel vs. Danny Davis (which hopefully won't be taped).
