Where did anyone find that footage? The WWF put on an episode of SmackDown in 2001.

We're debating the level of nerdiness here of a person. I have no idea who half the pokemon people are talking about, but I used to be able to memorize and name of, in order, the first 151 pokemon. Though that's merely a random factoid about myself I guess.
The Marvel comment was made by the fan I guess, but even still, maybe she just watched the cartoons or the movies, and didn't read the comic books? Would people go, oh, not nerdy enough. The counsel of nerds is upset with your lack of knowledge.
A lot of the people in WWE seem to be pretty nerdy. Dolph Ziggler was hoping to beat Bobby Lashley in trivia as he jokingly was hoping they would do that so he could get a shot over that beast. Zack Ryder was in developmental while hunting for every LJN figure ever made. He even lied to Curt Hawkins about some action figures not being at the store, but had his Dad swipe them. I'm sure some of the people in WWE don't have to prove that they're somewhat nerdy.

>_< Why do people care about the DC/Marvel crap!? This chick never mentioned how she knows AJ. I always love reading fan reports, especially when they go right and not rushed / flustered person. Imagine somebody saying: "I'm a big WWE fan! AJ Styles is really cool!" That's what it's like. I think I have a right to roll my eyes at that.

And people say UFC instead of MMA. That's your casual fan. I'm sure most people going to see a comic book movies, unless it's spider-man or superman/batman, don't know the difference between DC and Marvel.

I'm sure most people going to see a comic book movies, unless it's spider-man or superman/batman, don't know the difference between DC and Marvel. If that's true, then they shouldn't mention the company name as if they know what they're talking about. I'm fine with somebody not understanding something. I don't know a lot about the NFL, but I don't go around saying "Gosh, I hate the Packers!"

Isn't the entirety of wrestling about pandering?
Mick Foley's loveable babyface shtick mostly came from shameless pandering. Hulk Hogan was pandering to patriots and any kid that wanted a superhero to look up to. Steve Austin was pandering to an era of asshole antiheroes, and got his start during an era of WWF that pandered to the 'crash TV' style that was popular at that point.
As far as being a heel, being a heel is a kind of pandering, or the direct opposite, I guess - 'your sports team sucks,' or the Affirmative Action gimmick New Jack had in SMW - for the best example, Fonzie from ECW, who was so over as a heel because he was a ref that just enforced the normal rules of wrestling.
I don't even like the girl, but 'legit' nerd or not (and admittedly she does seem a bit too good to be true), AJ has got over with her pandering, and I'd much rather her pander with a fake nerd persona than with a ridiculous pair of fake tits and a dye job.
Also, I've played numerous Pokemon games and I can't name many of them past the first 150 simply because I couldn't afford the consoles, but I'd still qualify myself as a nerd. AJ might just have *shock* not played all of them. What is the precise line at which you trip over from poser into genuine nerd? I hate the Wii and consider it to be for 'casual gamers,' but then I can't even quantify what makes a casual gamer myself, so I guess I'm a poser nerd too?
I DON'T EVEN

Just to be clear here, I have a problem with the writer of the report, not AJ herself. AJ is awesome
AJ Lee tweeted about Big Boss being her favorite Metal Gear character and not liking Raiden. That's too knowledgeable to be faking anything.

I got a crazy idea, who cares if AJ can name more than 5 pokemon. I have never played the game in my life and I actually know quite a few nerds who haven't. Especially if they are over 25. Now knowing that Catwoman is DC, well that should be common nerd knowledge, but I believe that is the obsessed fan who wrote the article. BTW, the creepiness level is surpassing Mickie James fan levels.

She's not faking. She has a freakin' O.G. Meryl Silverburgh action figure and flipped her **** when David Hayter responded to her tweet. Not to mention she's a lifelong wrestling fan who attended shows, which aside from the late 90s wasn't cool whatsoever.
