How' is Kofi 'damaged goods'? He's one of the most over midcard acts and consistently puts on good matches without having been injured. He's what you need in any wrestling company.

Henry - Best heel in the WWE at the moment Tensai - He's awesome Miz - Connects well with audiences outside WWE Swagger - Great wrestler, deserves better Otunga - His current lawyer gimmick is great
The rest of the guys on the list, honestly I wouldn't care at all if they were released tomorrow. I find them all boring.

Henry, Miz, Truth, Tensai, Swagger
Based on enjoyment and their potential to do something interesting.

Dibiase and Swagger are the only two guys on that list it wouldn't greatly pain me to cut.
But if I absolutely had to drop three more...Tensai, Henry and Otunga.

Henry, Truth, Kofi, Otunga, Miz.
I like Ted, but WWE audiences never will.
The jury is out on if A-Train can adapt the "advances" he's made in his work back to WWE. Tomko couldn't (it doesn't help that Tomko showed up out of shape...).
I like Del Rio, but, again, like Ted, nobody else does.

David Otunga, Mark Henry, Lord Tensai, R-Truth, and The Miz.
I kind of surprised myself with these picks, as I do enjoy Kofi Kingston, Del Rio, and Jack Swagger. However, I feel like they're maxed out, we've seen what we're going to see from them. All these guys I picked I feel are just more interesting and can go in different directions.

So if this was an actual wwe.com poll than the results of who would stay at the moment would be:
Mark Henry Kofi Kingston David Otunga The Miz Alberto Del Rio
R-Truth & Lord Tensai are right behind Del Rio. While Big Show & Swagger are pretty far behind. And Ted Jr. isn't anywhere close to being kept.

Miz stays, without question. Tensai's way too recent to even think about releasing, given all the potential he has, and Otunga, who's recently hit his stride, has a whole lot of upside himself. For all the bad booking they've gotten, Kofi and Alberto can still be somewhat taken seriously; plus, since Del Rio's still relatively young in his WWE career, he can be retooled or turned face and given something of a clean slate.
With all the talent they have, they've done nothing but bulls*** Swagger and Ted, and they've done so for years. At this point, they're almost irreparably damaged. Release 'em, let 'em go to ROH or Japan (or back to Japan, in Ted's case) to show the brass what they're missing and come back sometime down the road with a real push waiting for them, if they decide to come back at all. As the old saying goes, either crap or get off the pot. If they're not gonna utilize Ted and Swagger to the best of their abilities, why hold them back?
As much love as I have for the big guys, they're getting there in age and physically, especially Mark Henry regarding physically. Plus, there isn't much more you can do with them aside from induct them into the Hall of Fame. As for Truth, I've pretty much lost all interest in him (not that I had all that much), not to mention he's pretty long in the tooth, both in age and in his career. If he was released tomorrow, I really wouldn't care.

Alberto Del Rio - He will always be a potential main event player, great look, talented, he is pretty much the total package.
David Otunga - A year ago I would have wanted to dump this guy. But, his character has improved greatly.
Lord Tensai - Brand new, he's a killer monster, a fresh heel
Mark Henry - I was conflicted with Henry. My fear is he doesn't have much left, but then again, this past year was his best year to date. But yeah, he's a great monster heel.
The Miz - I was conflicted with him too, because he was jobbed out mercifully. But, he gets heat. That's what's important.
The guys I would let go:
Big Show - Great talent, but he's been in WWE for ages and hasn't been as fresh as say, Mark Henry. Someone who I would have come back sometimes though, but not all the time.
Jack Swagger - Can't do anything consistent with him. He's been in the same spot for years, shuffle him out and find someone new.
Kofi Kingston - Same as Swagger. He's talented, he can't be around this one spot forever.
R-Truth - Lost his lustre as a baby face
Ted Dibiase Jr. - Talented, but jobbed out mercilessly, and while he had some brief success in job matches on Smackdown, he needs somewhere new.

Tensai Henry Kofi Otunga And strangely enough, Ted Dibiase. I've liked his face stuff.
I would've picked Big show, but I think he's done enough where he can retire with a good legacy.

I went with;
The Miz - Solid wrestler. Excellent character. Absolute star in my opinion, deserves his spot and then some.
Mark Henry - Improved beyond all recognition the past year. One of my favourite parts of every show.
David Otunga - Getting better in the ring. Excellent value in every other aspect. Has a very similar skill set to The Miz a few years ago. Confident talker, improving wrestler and has star presence.
Kofi Kingston - Enjoyable in the ring and is, at least, never boring to watch.
Alberto Del Rio - His act is getting old. But he is truly fantastic in the ring.

The Miz (really only needs a change of brand and/or to face and should be right back there) Kofi Kingston [nothing wrong with him in the midcard, still hasn't been tried as a heel yet- so potential still there] Jack Swagger [same as Kingston- still hasn't been tried as a face yet...but has shown just enough goofiness that he'd probably be an awesome babyface] David Otunga [finally beginning to scratch the surface] Lord Tensai [just got there]
