I will admit it added to it, but really made no sense. Why would A-RY care if one of them got hurt.

Perhaps the kayfabe thinking is. "If these two go all out on each other now, no one is gonna wanna pay to see them face off later on, and if I'm on that card it could mean less money for me."
To me that makes the most sense from a kayfabe perspective.

I like a good locker room break-up, but it seems like the locker room emptied WAY too quickly. Also, heels shouldn't be doing it.

Was Ryder holding Cena back at one point? Shouldn't he be wanting Lesnar to run rampant on him for stealing his gal?
But yeah, it is weird when you see all those people in the ring at the same time, but why would any of them give a toss about keeping the two of them apart?

I like to imagine one of the road agents setting off the brawl alarm backstage, Otunga has made nearly all wrestlers contractually obliged to drop what they’re doing and obey it.
Jack Tunney implemented something similar many years ago that no matter how dastardly the heel they must leave the ringside area if the referee points up the ramp.
Oh and Regal's facial expression when Brock was outside the ring was great.

Sheamus was out there doing that work too. You know, your freakin' World Heavyweight Champion. Flashback to his days as a security guard getting pedigreed by HHH.

I know Khali wasn't out there. Not sure if he was in the arena at all. If Khali had been there the whole thing would have been over anyway by the time he made to the ring.

I remember just laughing when I saw Jamie Noble trying to hold back Lesnar. Bit of a mismatch.

I think that they were trying to make people think that this was a "real" moment. Like this must be a "legitimate" fight because everyone's breaking character to seperate them. I just wish they'd saved it until the end of the show because it made Jericho and CM Punk look stupid later on when just a few referees came out to break up their brawl.

I'll never understand these things. When worse things happen you won't see anyone, but a brawl between 2 main eventers and everyone must come out for no reason whatsoever. It happens once every few years. I remember the Brood being the first ones out during a 5 way brawl between Stone Cold, Big Show, The Rock, Undertaker and Mankind to break it up. So random. Made even worse by later in the show, CM Punk gets physically destroyed and beer poured on him for like 10 minutes and not one wrestler comes out, not one agent. A few refs come out finally and are like "hey man...c'mon, that's enough beer you poured on him. cut it out." WWE, if you do "make movies", have some standards in terms of continuity and consistency.

Im actually quite the opposite of the consensus here. I thought that it was quite cool seeing Uppermid/Main-Eventers out there pulling these guys apart. To me its a great way to plant seeds of how serious this whole thing really is. It is SUCH a big deal that Cena and Lesnar are fighting that even the WHC knows it needs to be broken up. If this whole thing goes where I think its going, it gonna lead to Cena fighting for WWE while Brock is fighting for "legitmacy" (i.e. looks down on pro wrestling). This brawl was that start of it. The fact that legit stars came out to break it up speaks to the gravity and level of the situation. I marked

I marked I thought this too, but did question the timing later of Punk/Jericho where the refs let it go so long. I did think it was funny seeing Cody Rhodes out there so early and jumping in the middle breaking it up! And I believe DBry was the last person who had ahold of Brock as they slid him out of the ring.

Even the heels feel bad for John Cena at this point.

I liked that they brought out some main event level guys. It made it seem like it was a bigger deal.

I love it when the 'entire WWE locker room' empties out, just wish it had people like Punk and Jericho working together to hold Cena back or Sheamus and Bryan pulling Lesnar out lol no I hate it, plus..why was Sheamus out there? Isnt he about to get got tonight?

two big, possibly strongest in wwe for the last 10 years are wanting to tear each other apart.. are you going to send the ref's who usually get knocked down by a fly (well on tv anyway.) and stay down for 5-10 minutes or the wrestlers?
it always makes sense to send the locker room down in situations like that (kayfabe wise anyway.)
probably didnt help with lesnars first punch.

The whole segment overall had quite a different feel to it then what Ive been used to seeing from the E. That along with them really pushing the whole "new era" and "brock as the face of WWE" is making me think theyre finally changing directions. I was keeping a close eye on the strikes last night.. and they seemed ALOT more stiff most of the time. I really think this is leading to Team Cena/WWE current-era style guys vs Team Brock/Laurinitis with guys like Punk and bryan. If my bet comes true on this angle, they are gonna try to transcend traditional black and white "good guy/bad guy" dichotomy and try and spread Cena's reaction to two entire factions. The kind of fans that love cena will align with team WWE while the older or "smarkier" segment will align with team brock. And as much as Id like to see Cena turn, this theory would probably be much better. Something weve never seen before.

No wrestlers should have appeared. Only refs, officials and agents. It makes no sense for other guys to care whether they kick each other's heads in

I kind of found the whole thing forced and, from a story perspective, unearned.
Lesnar comes in, hits Cena with the F5. Cena responds by slapping Brock in the face. MASS BRAWL ENSUES!
I mean, WHY is there a mass brawl? Lesnar didn't say anything anyone else hasn't, Cena hasn't said anything yet, you don't get a sense of why this is all happening and the fued really doesn't seem passionate enough to earn it. Rock/Cena, on the last week of Raw, could have had something like that and it would have made sense because the tension was THAT high.
From a story perspective, it just felt silly.
