To the people saying there were no good promos...Piper's Pit? That was by far the best part of the show. I've seen Hot Rod do better. Piper is best when he really 'lets loose'. I don't like the Daniel Bryan story revolving around AJ, especially with her being the focal point of tonights Pipers Pit. The focal point could have been Bryan ego getting to him and Piper calling him out on that fact costing him the Title etc... I didn't expect much out of Bryan but I did dig the slap and run at the end. It was fitting. I agree with alot of the things others have said tonight. So there is no need to rant on tonights show. However, I have learned a lesson. I will now go into the Raw's, Smackdown's and PPV's with no expectations. I am done setting myself up for disappointment.

I was hoping Bryan would have brought up that "Yeah, I lost the WHC in 18 seconds at Wrestlemania but I still held the title" when Piper started that. Why not go for it?

Wait you guys seriously didn't like Piper's Pit? I thought it was very well done in making Bryan look like the complete douche he is.

I am not going to set myself up for disappointment anymore. You know, if you don't expect a show to be good, its silly to plan on watching it. Crazy how WWE managed to get me from beyond psyched to this very point in just 3 shows.

Didn't Piper actually win that title at some point in WCW though?

To the people saying there were no good promos...Piper's Pit? That was by far the best part of the show. Eh... It was the highlight, but Piper really dragged it down for me. He was going with insane rambling when he should've been more toned down and serious like he was in the Cena / Orton / Barrett one. Maybe it's because the only modern Piper's Pit memory I have is of the one with Cena from November (With him yelling "FEEL THE ENERGY!"), but he seemed calm for the most part (he only seemed to freak out after Bryan slapped him, which is understandable). My only real problem with the segment is that the AJ/DB dynamic stayed in place, but, on the flip side, Bryan was a fantastic smug asshole.

Crazy how WWE managed to get me from beyond psyched to this very point in just 3 shows. What is the solution then? I went in tonight expecting the debut of Ambrose. When I read earlier tonight about Bryan being on Pipers Pit, I thought to myself FANTASTIC. Also, knowing this was a live show, and coming off of the hype from last nights show(Cena/Lesnar), I expected at least some aspects of the show to be appealing to me. But like you said, it is crazy how the 'E has managed to get me from beyond psyched to this in just a couple shows.

Didn't Piper actually win that title at some point in WCW though? Nah, they had the Starrcade 96 match with Hogan and Piper where everyone though Piper had won it even though it was never announced as a title match.

After Piper kissed AJ, it seemed like he good old 'Hot Rod' was gettin 'Rowdy' for AJ and wanting to Pipe her Pit. Anyways, it seemed like he was fascinated with her not because she takes all of what Bryan is dishin' but because he seemed genuinely interested in her romantically.

Anyway, to his credit, he did say that he felt for her (or wanted to protect her) because he is a father of three daughters and his patriarchal genes were kicking in or something to that effect.

Well that show sucked. Daniel Bryan's segment with Piper/AJ was good, though. Also, Mick Foley's subtle reference to Owen Hart was nice to hear.

I have enjoyed almost every show since January a LOT but this Smackdown sucked really badly. The Piper's Pit segment felt very creepy Uncle-ish and did absolutely nothing for Bryan or Sheamus. I agree with Drew Mac, we all deserve better than this! And was Ambrose referenced to do something tonight? I saw his tweets and was confused

He got sent home after some kind of dustup with Foley.
