If someone were to die on the day of the show I think the show should just be cancelled, air a re-run if necessary, regardless of their placement on the card. You can never be sure if it would be another Benoit situation. However if it's a day or more before Raw a 10 bell salute should take place at the least.

I think there would be a 10 Bell Salute at the beginning of Raw, and a show of solidarity with armbands and whatnot, but I think it would be business as usual for the most part. Yeah that's what I would expect to happen. I do wonder what they'd do if a despised heel died, eg Barrett dying while Nexus were getting huge heat every week.

He turned back face at the end of No Mercy, so he was only face again for a month. According to reports, Eddie would have won the WHC had he lived to perform at SmackDown.

He was trying to convince Batista that he had changed and was no longer the monster that drove Rey Mysterio's family apart. In the meantime, he was working as a babyface, and he even had the full lowrider entrance for his final match with Mr. Kennedy. We all knew that eventually he was going to turn, possibly during the SD/Raw taping the night he died. Unfortunately, it's a storyline that we will never see the ending of.

Since we're on morbid subjects, I hope it's OK if I ask a question, too.
How would WWE react if the Undertaker died? I mean, aside from his gimmick that he's the Deadman, he's been killed and resurrected numerous times so how would WWE talk about it onscreen? Would they do the kayfabe breaking JR did when Owen died? ("This is not a storyline, folks.") Also, would they ever call him by his real name and/or dedicate his video package to Mark Calaway?

I wont lie, I have thought about this before.
Obviously If John Cena Passed away, I think we'd be garrentied a 2 hour tribute show.
I think i someone like Curt Hawkins did, Maybe a quick condolence message or something.
Hopefully this is something we will never have to find out.

According to reports, Eddie would have won the WHC had he lived to perform at SmackDown. Actually no. That was the thought, but since then it's been said by numerous writers that Orton was going to - presumably Eddie would have turned back to being heel out of frustration over failing to win the title or something.

I have thought of this before. It depends on where they are on the card and their history in the company. With Owen, they had the accident, but Owen had such a history in the company and was so well loved with the boys. But I wonder if a guy like a Curt Hawkins were to fall over dead, I don't know how they could go through the best of Curt Hawkins library and show all his great moments. Like that time he stood backstage and said hi to someone, or that other time he got crushed by Brodus Clay.

Probably something similar to how they handled Pillman's death no? Wow didn't even think of that. Yeah, Vince mentioned it on the Free For All I think, but I don't think they even talked about it on the actual Badd Blood ppv IIRC. Although if they did that today they would probably be destroyed by the outside media. Pillman was one of the first wrestlers to die young. This simply isnt true. Wrestlers have died young for quite some time. Hell Frank Gotch was 40 when he died. Not to mention Gino Hernandez,Most of the Von Erichs,Jay Youngblood,Rick McGraw,Adrian Adonis, Buzz Sawyer, DJ Peterson and SO man others

Im also wondering what would happen if it was someone like hogan or flair who are currently in TNA. Would we get a full tribute show or just a video package?

Also, here's an interesting one, if someone who the wwe had no footage of died, should the WWE acknowledge it?

Like someone from ROH or TNA (one of the homegrown stars, not a ex WWE guy). TNA might get a mention, depending on who it is, I doubt ROH. Also, I really think it depends on how the person died. Any type of OD, or heart failure(which may be connected to steroid use) and I doubt they say anything.

Like someone from ROH or TNA (one of the homegrown stars, not a ex WWE guy). It happened when puroresu legend Mitsuharu Misawa died. It's been a while but I believe it was mentioned on the website but not on tv; however Punk had "Misawa" written on his tape.

Yeah. In all likeliness, it all depends on whether the wrestler was really well-respected by someone in WWE [like Punk or Yoshi Tatsu did following the death] or if the wrestler was good friends with one of the WWE stars [like, for example, when Biggie Biggs, a small-time Northeast worker most noted for being the guy who sold Mickey Rourke's character steroids in "The Wrestler", died, Shad put his name on his tape.]

Cena wouldn't die. That would require him to actually sell it, and more importantly...not be there. He'd still show up on RAW regardless, disembodied Obi-Wan-style. Then he'd say, unlike other deceased WWE legends, that he still shows up each and every week. He'd then help Zack Ryder believe in himself and use the force to destroy the core of WWE HQ.
</I'm kidding. No hate, please.>
