Maybe they KNEW it was going to be a horrible show...so they didn't advertise it. C-O-N-SPIRACY!

I throw it into the mix with the 2009 Slammys & the 10/14 Impact as the worst wrestling shows ever broadcast.

Last time I seem to remember them doing a 1.6 or 1.7 because like this, there was no promotion for it. For some reason, the live Smackdown ratings are ingrained in my mind, so yes the last live edition did a 1.7 on Tuesday (2.32 million) and a 1.5 on Friday (2.24 million). Compare that to the 2.0 it did in August (when the average SD rating was 1.7/1.8) and in November (when the average SD rating was 2.0) and you'll learn an important lesson, advertise the show in advance and not just a day before.

Boring show. I fell asleep again. That's my barometer. Falling asleep=bad. Staying awake=good.

I'm surprised they do better than that on a regular basis as it is. Smackdown's more bland and uninspired at the moment than it ever has been IMO. Sure there's usually a couple of decent matches every week that I try to catch, but I haven't sat down to watch a whole 2 hour show in ages. The Raw Supershow concept has just killed it for me.

I don't think it had anything to do with the quality of the show. The last live Smackdown did bad ratings and I don't remember it being too bad. And there have been plenty of bad Friday night Smackdowns that got a 2.0+ in ratings.

One issue could be lack of promotion. It's an a random day that wasn't promoted much. But there wasn't much on the show. It's also an issue with them kinda killing off a good chunk of the roster by turning them into NXT jobber types.

Did Cole get beat up at the end or did I dream that?

Did Cole get beat up at the end or did I dream that? Nope, that happened, Patterson clocked him with a right hook.

Did Cole get beat up at the end or did I dream that? Nope, that happened, Patterson clocked him with a right hook. So when he was super annoying no one other than the Rock could get any heat on him, but but once he is doing a serviceable job at the desk a bunch of old guys beat him up? WWE logic!
