WWE.com is starting a list today (releasing 10 a day) of the 50 greatest tag teams in WWE history. But unlike most lists, this list contains teams based ONLY on what they did in the WWE. They reference Luger/Sting as an example of a team that won't appear on the list. Here are the first 10 for those who don't want to go through each page:
50. The Bushwhackers 49. The Mega Powers 48. The Soul Patrol 47. Paul London & Brian Kendrick 46. The Headshrinkers 45. The Twin Towers 44. The Moondogs 43. Booker T & Goldust 42. The Killer Bees 41. The Steiners 40. Billy & Chuck 39. Jeri-Show 38. The Bodydonnas 37. The Powers of Pain 36. Team Lay-Cool 35. The Foreign Legion 34. MNM 33. Rated-RKO 32. The Brothers of Destruction 31. The Rock 'N' Sock Connection 30. Too Cool 29. The World's Greatest Tag Team 28. The Brain Busters 27. Los Guerreros 26. U.S. Express 25. Colossal Connection 24. Legacy 23. Kane & X-Pac 22. The Quebecers 21. The Natural Disasters 20. The Nasty Boys 19. The Smoking Gunns 18. Money, Inc. 17. John Morrison & The Miz 16. Mr. Fuji & Professor Toru Tanaka 15. D-Generation X 14. Strike Force 13. The Blackjacks 12. The APA 11. The Rockers 10. The Dudley Boyz 09. The Wild Samoans 08. Legion of Doom 07. The Valiant Brothers 06. The British Bulldogs 05. The Hardy Boyz 04. The New Age Outlaws 03. Demolition 02. The Hart Foundation 01. Edge & Christian

Oh great, so London and Kendrick the WWE Tag Team Title's longest reigning champions are 5 places below the Killer Bee's and barely cracked the Top 50.
This is why WWE.com lists will never hold any validity. Too much politics.

The Steiners at #41? List already invalid.

If Demolition aren't in the top 5, then it's total BS.

London and Kendrick are the 10th longest reigning tag team in history. They won both the WWE Tag Team Titles and the World Tag Team Titles. They were a team for 6 years. I'm not even their biggest fans but I just hate to see history ignored and individuals looked over on history reflective lists just because they left the company.

The Steiners at #41? List already invalid. To be fair, their best work was outside WWE and this is a WWE-only list.

The Steiners at #41? List already invalid. They barely made a splash when working for Vince.

The top 5 HAS to include the NAO, the Hardyz, Edge & Christian, and the Dudleyz.
Obviously the Hart Foundation and The Rockers will be up there too.
I just hope they don't do something dumb like put DX at number 1.

No Edge & Christian's probably #1. The Duldeys/Hardyz would probably be it if they didn't work for TNA right now.

The Steiners at #41? List already invalid. They barely made a splash when working for Vince. And? They're one of the greatest tag teams of all time and were WWE Tag Team Champions. You mean to tell me that there are 40 better teams than the Steiner Brothers that have been in the WWE? Come on.

The whole purpose of lists like these is to get people riled up and talking about it. Mission accomplished, WWE

Colons: Part One should be on that list. Mostly. They did make history, even if their actual reign was crap.

Bushwhackers #50? They were may more interesting and entertaining than most of the people from 50-41... Boo! and Demolition or E&C seem to be the highest chances of reaching #1...

You mean to tell me that there are 40 better teams than the Steiner Brothers that have been in the WWE? Come on. From a purely WWE perspective, there were. There's nothing of note that happened with them other than the fact that Scott beat the f*** out of Mike Bell, and that they got heat because they refused to fight each other in the Rumble. In the grand scheme of things, they were easily in the top 5 of all time in the whole world, but in the E, they hardly did anything. Same could be said about Vader. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest, big men of all time. Highly decorated around the world. Able to have great matches with just about anyone. Yet he never won a title, and was eventually outed as "a big piece of shit" lol. Big picture, one of the greatest ever, perspective from WWE career, not so good.

Number one will obviously be Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki.
