The Yankees need to get all the runs they can get. It was important to get that 2nd run of the inning, A-Rod saved the day without a hit. I thought for sure he was going to strike out.
A 3 run lead, AJ some breathing room. If I am Girardi, if you get one more inning out of him, take him while the gettings good.

AJ Burnett is in the running for a win. I repeat AJ Burnett is in the running for a win.

I still have a very short leash on Burnett even with a 3 run lead.

From Sports Illustrated's homepage: I can't understand why, but I think it's hilarious that the most recent picture that Sports Illustrated has of Arizona pitcher Josh Collmenter is from the 2006 season. You'd figure, with the archive that SI has, that they'd be able to cue up a picture from the past five years.

Girardi for all the grief I give him did the right thing getting AJ out of there on a high note. And if you look at a lot of the out there were hard hit balls at people, you play with luck like that for too long eventully it will back fire.
Now it is on the bullpen. The Yankees lose it is their fault.
Wow Granderson does it again. If the Yankees hold on to win, I don't know if he is MVP of the league, but he is the MVP of this game. Taking nothing away from AJ, but those two plays saved the Yankees butt.
If I am Girardi, don't play with Soriano, let Robertson and Rivera get 9 outs between the two of them.

Granderson's catches saved 4 Tiger runs and possibly 5 ALCS ratings points for FOX

Girardi don't fool around, Robertson and Rivera to finish the game. Soriano is going to give me a heart attack.

Girardi makes me look bad, but still maybe if it was 1 or 2 run lead, or the Tigers had the heart of the order coming maybe Girardi would have done this differently.

Back-to-back-to-back hits in the postseason from A-Rod, Tex, and Swish. Posada is pinch hit for, bringing in Montero. Let's see if Jesus Saves.
We need a closer with the first name of "Jesus."

The Arizona Diamondbacks wore their purple throwback jerseys once, on September 9, in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Josh Collmenter did not pitch in that game, as Daniel Hudson threw a complete game. So who is that in the picture?!?!

I want to see Montero hit, but isn't Posada the Yankee with the highest OBP right now?
