I've heard Tomoka Nakagawa is really cool the times she's come over for SHIMMER. Generally has no problem being friendly/messing around with/remembering fans and the like. She's also a registered nurse and I imagine that's something you don't really go into if you're not kind of an inherently nice person. That reminds me. On the first Ice Ribbon show I attended with Hamuko on the card, after the show, she went up to random fans, kicking them and just playing. She's really cool.

Haku is nice. He's only a breathing weapon of mass destruction when you f*** with him or his friends, or if you do stupid s*** in front of him in general. I've heard the same thing about both Haku and Barbarian. Both guys are total teddy bears until someone starts acting like a fool, then they turn invincible and wreck 8 city blocks. Strange. Most legitimate tough guys I've known are like this. They know they can handle it if things get out of hand, so they have no reason to let it get there to begin with.

In another example, I met Big Bossman several times in my life(I lived in Paulding County, GA, Cobb County's right next door), and he was ALWAYS awesome. Supremely nice guy. I've heard nothing but good things about the Bossman. He seemed really humble and just honored to be able to be in the business. One guy I haven't seen mentioned is referee Tommy Young. He was walking to the ring to officiate the first match and my friend asked for a handshake. (He was a huge NWA fan.) Tommy stopped, shook our hands and just stayed put for a minute or two, like we were three of his friends who came out just to see him. Really cool guy. Holding up a show just so he can chat with us. I think Gary Michael Cappetta (another really nice guy we met at a different show) finally had to tell him they can't start without him in the ring. *By the way, that Jimmy Hart story is really cool.

I'll second Tommy Young. I've met him at a couple of the Fanfests (he's returning this year) and he's one of those guys that loves being there and loves talking with the fans. You can usually end up with the opportunity to have a drink with him too if you keep your eyes open when you pass the hotel bar.

I'll throw in another praise for Jerry Lynn. It was a low rent indy show with about 25 people in attendance but he was a great sport and was a very nice guy. I'll forever be a fan of his from now on.

I'll second Jigsaw, also. I seen him during intermission at a show (he had already had his match) and was hanging out behind us in the bleachers with a couple of kids by the merchandise table, doing tilt-a-whirl moves on them and just having a good time bonding.

For indy wrestlers, you'll never meet a nicer or happier guy than Drake Younger. This x1,000,000 It's a magical thing to be driving down the road with him, see an 18-wheeler hauling cars ON FIRE in the opposite lane, and listen to him GIGGLE for a solid half hour about it. Like, straight up little kid giggle. Most surreal thing I've ever witnessed.
