Well, Vick also has the whole "convicted dog murderer" thing going against him. Not that Irvin was a model citizen or anything, but "convicted dog murderer" is pretty bad. Also, none of Vick's injuries were career ending. Left that little detail out. Sure it is, I just used Vick for an example. And I don't believe for a second a majority of the cheers are because they hate Vick, they're because they realize that with him down, they have a better chance of winning the game. I've seen it plenty of times in other sports. I watched that game live on television, which I doubt 99% of those who cite it did. The emotion was more for Deion Sanders who was doing some dance during the whole thing then anything else.

Montreal Canadiens: They are run by a bunch of morons + can't stand 85% of the fanbase. Agree with the first part of your comment, but the second? Hey, UP YOURS Captain Bandwagon. Two teams I don't really like are the Devils and the Panthers (NHL). I just find them to be really boring. Brodeur was great to watch though, I'll give the Devils that. Then there are the Bruins, who have only two decent fans: slickness and a guy I talk to on another site. The rest are bad. Especially BRV. It's call choosing my favorite team, unless you have a problem with that or you don't know what it's like to cheer for winners. ;D Oh and Chris Lee is the ref of your team's match....

How any rational sports fan can hate the Spurs is beyond me Hm. Between the douche tactics of Bruce Bowen back in their glory days, the super-floppery of Manu Ginobili, and the fact that they're paint-dry watching levels of boring, it's hard to find a reason to like them if an NBA fan is outside of South Central Texas. No, onto the dislike. It's getting harder and harder to narrow things down. NFL: Philadelphia Eagles. Can't respect their team, their fans, or their entire city from a sports standpoint (Which would include those Phillies as well), absolutely nothing about the Eagles are commendable. Except for the fact that they've went to all those championship games and have not one Super Bowl victory to show for it. I can even give the Cowboys (And their 5 CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS) some credit for holding onto the past for long as possible and even the lousy Patriots MLB: Boston Red Sox. I'm a Yankee fan. Yadda-yadda-yadda. I did a dance when they collapsed last Fall, wish the worst upon their franchise for 2004. We know the score already. Gotta say though, the Rangers are starting take that spot from the Angels as the big-time annoyance from the West. NBA: Boston Celtics. The Celtics dislike has been passed down from my father to myself and when I have children, I'll teach them the tradition to my offspring. Auerbach's cigar lighting is what riled my father up many decades ago, and that air of entitlement grinds my gear today. Oh, and Kevin Garnett/Rajon Rondo/Paul Pierce being an asshole. That doesn't help either. I hate the fact that Ray Allen Jesus Shuttlesworth plays there because he's awesome and pretty much impossible to dislike.

Also, none of Vick's injuries were career ending. Left that little detail out. When Irvin was hurt, did anybody realize it was career ending, or was that after the fact. It was a big hit on a hated player that got cheered. Everything else was greatly exaggerated by the national media. But I could see how booing is worse then rioting or injuring or physical distruction, or mocking a guy about his wife or family.

And again, btw, I have found myself in the company of many Giants fans, most of them I enjoy talking too, and are intelligent people. A small minority are loud and obnoxious, and one of them even said something to my brother(who was 5 at the time). But I don't judge the fandom by a few assholes, yet it seems like that is what is done with Philly. Personally, to S-Chrome, I respect any fan that is loyal to their team, that fills the stadium, whether good or bad, that lives and dies with a team.

LA fans beat a guy into a coma. KC fans beat the s*** out of a Jets fan who took offense to fans saying that New York deserved 9/11. I would like to point out that the police have said that it was not a Jets-Chiefs melee.

If this was a Philly incident, as sure as I am typing this, it would've been a lot bigger story, and no retraction would have done anything.

The Dallas Cowboys
I grew up in SE Wisconsin. Being that close to Chicago, there was definitely a dislike between Packer fans and Bears fans, but not as strong as the hatred for the Cowboys. Friends I know from the Wisconsin/Minnesota border tell the same story. Packers/Vikings is a rivalry. Packers/Cowboys is seething hatred.
I also don't like the Colts, just because I have a hunch Peyton Manning is a total f***ing asshole in real life.

Whatever lie that helps you sleep at night my friend. Funny thing: We had Chris Lee and we did get screwed over on a goal that shouldn't have counted but we had like 8 freaking power plays and scored once. I blame us for this loss, not him. BTW, we're slowly going up again...you guys are on the way down. So nyah nyah on you.

The one good thing about being a Cardinals fan is nobody really seems to hate them as it's malice to spew at for nothing.

Though for some reason I have a lot of respect for the Green Bay fans who stayed fans with the TEAM after Favre left, and not the bandwagoners who followed him to the Jets and Vikings. and surprisingly to me, many current GB fans seem to hate Favre more than I do, and that says a lot

Jets: (Espescially the last few years). Until they actually win something, shut the f*** up. Rex Ryan is just obnoxious.
Canadiens: Blood rivalry going back decades. Dislike the floppy play. Dislike most of their fanbase (see: calling 911 after the Chara hit). DarthAlexander is one of like 3 intelligent Habs fans Ive met.
Indy: The Manning worship. More than that though, Bill Polian crying like a little girl after the 2004 AFC title game to get the rules changed and basically making it so you cant touch recievers. And the fact they pipe in crowd noise and nobody seemed to care.
Vancouver: Move Over Montreal, we have a new winner for douchiest team. Biting, blidnside hits, turtling when confronted. And their fanbase rioting like assholes.

Nobody knew it was career ending but he was still carted off the field. I dont care who the player is I would never cheer for a guy getting injured and carted off the field. I suspect most other normal people feel the same way but we're talking about eagles fans here.....
