I have had better years and this was not one of them. I worked in the Spring time, met some interesting people, though one person who I sort of kept in contact with turned out to be a bitch. She put me on the spot many times about certain things and tried to manipulate me into lending her money, which I almost did but I ended up not doing it. I don't talk to that person anymore.
The school semester was okay, but I ended up dropping a class because I was failing. I tried to talk to this one girl but ended up blowing my chances at her because I made her feel awkward and creeped out.
However, I did meet some interesting people and got to know a few.
It wasn't all that bad, but I have had better years. Last year was a little better. 2009 was okay (First half was bad in a lot of areas, though there was some good. Second half was a little better). 2008 was actually better in a lot of areas.

Aside from the lack of a job thing still, fan-f***ing-tastic!
I graduated from college, I had a lot of fun attending NBA playoff games(my first ever NBA playoff games, mind you), nothing bad has happened to me.
Really the only thing that would've made this year better was if I DID get a job.

I was broke for most of 2011. I literally had nothing to my name for part of the summer and part of the fall because I lost 2 jobs (one to my own doing, and the other because the place I was working at went out of business out of the blue). I'm working at GameStop now. I started to hate the job, but now I like it.
I think one of my friends who I was cool with doesn't even want to talk to me for some reason. I did nothing to her. I don't even get her sometimes.
One good thing that came out of the year was that my brother and me got the house to ourselves for the summer because our mother was in Europe for the summer. That was the best.
Other than that I'm thankful to live through another year and hope to see many more.

Well...let's see...we found out my grandmother had a brain tumor and she passed away this summer, we found out my grandfather had bone and lung cancer and he passed away last month, one family dog passed away from old age, another that some relatives had since I was young had to be put down due to old age, one of my kitties died due to a nasty, nasty disease and I had to sit with her while she passed away, the vet bills for the kitty and the fact I had to get almost all new tires due to a nail in one of them flat out murdered my Christmas money...and my wife's sister and grandmother decided to fly her and my son up for Xmas...I was welcome to come but had to pay $550 for my own ticket once again even more murderizing my Christmas money.
My son was born this year and my Cards won the World Series...plus I got a little bit of a pay raise due to being promoted to bartender, so it wasn't a total loss. (In fact, my baby boy makes up for almost all the garbage that happened.)
Still, 2011 can eat a bag of dicks.

Well aside from my puppy dying back in May, I have nothing to complain about.
A more petty complaint would be the whole Christian two day title reign thing that did upset me quite a bit actually but that pales in comparison to real problems so.... yeah.
2011 was fine. But I always look forward to the New Year.

The year was okay--nothing special--until the end of September, at which point it became an incredibly shitty year. I moved from Ohio to New Mexico for a job in the summer with expectations high and then I lost it after just three months. I uprooted my whole life, moved my girlfriend here and everything, and now I'm constantly surrounded by a place I have negative associations with. My depression comes and goes (Sept./Oct. was the worst), but overall it still stings pretty bad. Easily the worst moment of my professional life.
Some good things did happen, I'm sure, but nothing sticks out in my head like the life change that didn't work out.

I went most of the year without a job and been battling this gotdamn insomnia which makes me a serious ass most days. 2011 did however see the birth of my daughter so there is no way I can say this is was a bad year.

2010 was the worst year of my life. Lost my pet cat I had since I was 4 (he lived 21 years), my uncle and my grandmother died within a month of each other right before Christmas, girlfriend of several years broke up with me...I was in the worst shape physically and mentally in my life.
This year was so much better. I began seeing a therapist for social anxiety disorder as well as depression that came from the previous year(s). I cut my hair short for the first time in 7 years and gained a bit more confidence, lost roughly 30 pounds, heard a lot of good music, played a lot of good games, saw an unusually good amount of wrestling, had a handful of really nice days with some somewhat new friends (new to hanging out, at least), got paid to work on a website....
I'm doing a lot better now, and I'm super thankful that I have a supportive, caring family during all this time. I wouldn't be anything without them, honestly. I've learned a lot about life these past two years...I've learned that you can't rely on other people to make you happy, and that if you don't want to be alone, you have to put forth the effort to not be alone. I'm still working on that one for 2012...but at least I can say it and truly believe in it.

Really well, traveled overseas for the first time, got a job, got my degree. Relationship wise it's been pretty down, but things are always looking up. Plus with 2012 looking like me returning to school to go after a law degree it looks to be getting even a little better.

Well, it wasn't as bad as 2009 or 2010, but I'm not entirely pleased with 2011. After years of being held back by a crippling anxiety disorder, last New Years I decided that enough was enough and I was finally going to break out on my own at the tender young age of 23. I even went out of my way to announce my intentions on Facebook and to basically anyone who would listen. Well, after all that hype and flapping my gums repeatedly, I accomplished absolutely squat. 12 months later, and the only thing I've accomplished is getting a disability pension to live on. No school, no job, no place of my own. I know I'm still quite young, but I'm not getting any younger, you know what I mean? I want to be graduated from university and established in a career by the time I'm 30, and based on the amount of time that's going to take, the clock is ticking. I wish I could say it's all finally going to get started in 2012, but based on my current finances and the slippery slope my anxiety problem is on, it's dicey at best.

A large improvement over last year.
...Though that's mostly because last year was the worst year of my personal life.

January-Ok Feburary-Ok March-Started great as I went to Disney World for spring break. When I came back however, had near nervous breakdown. Left school making it the second spring in a row I did not complete (2010 I didn't go at all due to Grandma's death) April-August: Started seeing a psychologist again. Got my permit, registered for MAGfest (13 days left), Found out I was to become an uncle (Sis is due VERY soon). Things seemed to be going great September: One of the worst months of my life. Stressed about school and tried to take my own life. October:Started seeing someone down in DC. Got put on medications after being off them for few years. November: Got SMiLE! One of the biggest music products I will ever buy. December: 2 A's, 2 B's and a pass (class was p/f from beginning) and I got a 3.4 GPA this semester ;D
So yeah...very interesting year

2011 was pretty unspectacular for me.
Positives - I went to Wrestlemania. Quit smoking cigarettes. Got a PS3. Didn't drop out of college. Had sex a couple of times.
Negatives - I quit smoking pot. Still single. Still don't have a car or a job.
So yea...this year wasn't majorly awesome or majorly shitty like previous years have been. It's definitely a year that I won't think about too much in the future. So I guess that's a good thing considering how crappy the last few years were.
