Yeah I remember in 1996 (being junior high age by then) one Saturday morning coming across a new episode of TMNT and being shocked because I thought it had been off the air for at least 5 years.

I've been watching the old ones in order and it is actually better than I thought it would be. The tone really isn't all that different from the 03 series except for the fact that the characters aren't as well developed in the 87 series.
On the Turtles Forever movie they made the old turtles way too over the top with the jokes. They were a little like that in the old series but not that much.

TMNT was one of my favourite shows when I was little. I probably had most of the action figures, but I remember my friend had the technodrome, which was awesome. I also don't remember the show running that long either, but I had stopped watching after awhile I guess.
I know there were a few, but which one of the SNES games was the really good one?

The one that's based on the "Turtles in Time" arcade game, though the Tournament Fighters game isn't half-bad itself.

Yeah, I remember turning to CBS in the morning and seeing Turtles around 1996 and being surprised. I was a huge Turtles fan as a kid and loved the toys. I had the big Turtles Michelangelo that you can transform into a ordinary turtle. I wanted Raphael but the store didn't have one.
I liked the 2003 series and it got better as the seasons went on. Turtles Forever was fun for a fan.

I totally lost touch with TMNT after the craze wore off or when I got more into other things. I remember I still watched it in 1991 and 1992 sometimes and I still remember when CBS aired an episode or two on primetime for some reason.
However, it wasn't until 1996 or 1997 when I was in fifth grade that I realized that it had still been on. Well, I read that it actually ended in 1996 but CBS still aired repeats in early to mid 1997 and I had no idea that it was still on at that point. I was wondering who the hell that Dregg guy was.

He wasn't as menacing in the old version (still, the Turtles could never beat him with a 4 on 1 advantage).

I've heard that on this new Nickelodeon cartoon TMNT show that their version of Shredder is going to be the most badass. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I really liked James' Turtle videos. Brought back a lot of memories. I stopped watching them after the 3rd or 4th season, basically when I got to the age that I was "too old" for that stuff. Seems like I stopped watching at a good time because the later stuff looks pretty craptacular.

I'm always surprised when I discover how well received by the fans the "Red Sky" seasons are. I was a huge Turtles fan back then and I HATED them. I know they're closer to the source comics then the earlier seasons (in the same way I'm closer to the sun when I'm standing on a chair then when I'm sitting in it), but based on what I felt the Turtles should be like back then, the "Red Sky" episodes just felt so wrong. I thought April's banana jumpsuit was hot. You and every other kid growing up back then. I'll be honest, I always thought Irma was hotter. I always had a thing for girls with glasses who wore giant sweaters. Had a thing for Velma from Scooby-Doo as well. I liked to believe they had amazing bodies under those sweaters they hid so as not to overshadow their showoffy friends.

It's funny because I watched a TMNT episode just for fun a few years back and had completely forgotten about Krang. I always remembered Shredder though. Did anyone else get banned from watching TMNT by their parents? I was temporarily banned when I was in pre-school because I apparently started using Turtle Power on people.

Never really been that into it, but figured it was relevant to mention that right now one of the top things on the What's Hot thing for WWE 12 on the 360 has a TMNT-themed arena that is just awesome. Picked it up earlier myself.

I liked the 80's-early 90's episodes.
I stopped watching around 1992 or so. I read the Archie comics for awhile longer though.
I wasn't into the 2003 reboot and I hated the way old-school TMNT was presented as so over the top and goofy in Turtles Forever.
