Evgeni Malkin and the cast of the Wilkes Barre-Scranton Baby Pens are CRUSHING Buffalo. Ryan Miller pulled halfway through the first period, put back in in the beginning of the second. Early Christmas gift ?

It's a good thing John Stevens is the Kings coach for one match; they are getting their asses handed to them.

And Patrik Elias breaks the all-time scoring record for the Devils! Congrats Patrik!

How did this guy make it to the East Finals in 2010? Jaroslav Halak That I cannot argue with. @lardlad: While some of our players could step it up (Cammy, don't even bother considering Gomez, Gionta, etc) Martin was terrible. The reasons are numerous, way too many to get into but believe me he was pretty damn bad. Frustrating doesn't even begin to cover it. A simple example: not putting your best scoring line together on the power play. Duhhhhhhh. Thanks TripleThreat. Hopefully your dream comes true as well. Hell, I'm not even upset we lost tonight (kind of figured it would happen).

It was a really close game, honestly. It wasn't until the third period that the Devils pulled ahead. And the Habs had a short, effective burst of offense where they got like 3 goals within 10 minutes.
I was honestly expecting another bout of Heart Attack Hockey that the Devils are so fond of lately. This is the best third period I've seen them play in a long time. Brodeur actually showed flashes of being the Old Brodeur (as opposed to just being old) that period.

Brodeur owns us whenever he plays here. We're lucky to win a game when the Devils come to Montreal. I think his record is 41-18 (might be wrong on the losses). One thing that helped the Devils tonight was our top line was all over the place and I have no idea what the hell Cole was up to tonight.

Benoit Pouliot has 5 goals so far, and 4 of them are game-winners. He might come in handy.

I really hate this season with a passion and Jesus Tambellini make a f***ing trade already! Phoenix got so much from Turris while the Oilers could of got more by trading Omark or Hemsky away. Seriously Hemsky has been playing like shit and it's obvious he wants out and his trade value is decreasing. Pull the f***ing trigger already the team may actually make it it to the playoffs this year but no you're going to procrastinate till it's too late! I hate this season with a passion

I like it. Not sure how well this new coach is. Hopefully he'll at least be SOMEWHAT better. If we somehow beat Boston and Co. it may be a portent.

Amazing how dynamic the Devils are with both of their top lines clicking, and now Zajac is being integrated back in as well. Love it.
Can't wait to get to Newark Tuesday night; the 24/7 cameras will be in the house, and I want the Devils to deliver the goods.

Also of note: Adam Larsson took an elbow to the head last night, but he appeared to be OK; he'll miss a couple games this week, but apparently it's to attend a funeral in Sweden.
What's a joke is that the hit didn't even result in a disciplinary hearing. I think that's three times a Devils' gotten a shot to the head this year and Shanny hasn't budged. Between this and all the awful calls and reversals from Toronto on us, it just confirms what we've known forever down here.

If we somehow beat Boston and Co. it may be a portent. I think Cunnyworth will be better - but not much. We'll also need to give the guy time and I wouldn't be surprised if we got destroyed this week. I think this whole season is a bust really. Sadly if we do miss the playoffs I doubt we'll get a lottery pick. Hmark - I don't understand it either. The moment it happened I thought "ah crap, now Cole will get suspended". Why he isn't is beyond me.

Bourque just got a 5-minute major and game misconduct for boarding Brent Seabrook, so the Hawks have a chance to put some distance between them and the Flames.

Once Ray Emery cools off, you guys will have a good 3-game window before Coach Q pulls him and returns Crawford to net. That's a 6-point swing to look-forward to! Sincerely, A Hawks fan who finds it amusing that John Scott was skating with Hjalmarsson on the 2nd pairing when Seabs was knocked out for the game earlier tonight.

Sincerely, A Hawks fan who finds it amusing that John Scott was skating with Hjalmarsson on the 2nd pairing when Seabs was knocked out for the game earlier tonight. Isn't Seabrook on the 1st line with Keith? Right. So once Seabrook went out, 20-year-old Nick Leddy moved up to play with Keith. And Scott and Montador were basically rotating to pair with Hjalmarsson. Assumbing Seabrook does get held out of the Pittsburgh and Montreal games, I'd expect the Leddy/Keith and Hammer/Montador pairs to stick, with Scott staying active and playing with O'Donnell or Lepisto. Scott hasn't been god-awful recently. Played his best game as a pro a few nights ago.
