I absolutely hate, loathe and abhor the movie "Kids." Amen, sister. That movie is vile trash with absolutely no redeeming quality whatsoever. There is something completely suspicious about Larry Clark

The Star Wars prequels. I honestly believe the fans of these movies are just in a state of geek denial.

The next reason I hear to like the movie "Catfish" will be the first. What a 90-minute pile of trash that thing turned out to be.

I fully understand I'm not the flick's demographic but I've enjoyed plenty of animated/family flicks. This just sucked, I pitied John Voight.

With the exception of A Serbian Film and the Human Centipede movies, I know people that honestly like all the other listed movies.

I honestly liked Human Centipede, so there's that...
For me, it's the Michael Bay Transformers films. Yes, Transformers is based on a toy/old cartoon, but there is enough depth and mythology toit that it didn't have to be "mindless" entertainment. It could have easily been smart, well written, AND had good action and special effects. I am sick of all the remakes/ sequels of today, but this is the one franchise that I can't wait for someone with a new vision to take over.

That movie is vile trash with absolutely no redeeming quality whatsoever. what I hated about it is, it's a fairly presumptuous and condescending movie. it has the attitude "all young teenagers are like this" but it didn't resemble my adolecence at all.or anybody I know for that matter. I'm not saying that there aren't people like that, but even the moost messed up kids I knew in high school were better off than that. same problem I have with shows like Skins. man, Freaks and Geeks is still the only show I've ever seen that got middle-american/canadian teen years right.

It's funny you say that. I saw the movie in a film course in college that was based around American teen films. In the description for the course they mentioned John Hughes movies but when the course began, my (pretentious and idiotic) professor proclaimed that we wouldn't be seeing those movies because they were "contrived". Well, one week we got around to watching "Kids" and I went into it completely open minded because I wasn't familiar with the film. At the end of the movie, he asked our opinion and I said what I thought. The one thing I made it a point to say was that he told us he felt movies like the ones John Hughes made were contrived, but that "Kids" was absolutely nowhere near matching my growing up as a teen. Its "gritty" and "real" nature in no way pinpointed what my teen youth was like. My problems were much more related to those "contrived" John Hughes movies than anything in "Kids". It wasn't real to me because that wasn't my reality and if anything felt contrived and put on, it was this movie. It's not that I pretend my reality as a teen is what everyone's is like, it's that I was supposed to go along with the thinking that this was the way true teens live - that it was less artificial and more genuine when frankly, that's not accurate and the passing of that sentiment as gospel couldn't be farther from a universal truth if it tried.

If you can, check out the British show 'The Inbetweeners', it's a comedy about school, and the most well observed take on being a teenager I've seen. I've seen a phrase a few times 'Skins is what people imagine high school's like, The Inbetweeners is what it is'.

I think we all either know a Will or ARE Will haha. Skins was cool, but I don't know ANYONE who lived a life as exciting as that. Good lord, imagine what they'll be doing once they live alone and stuff.

Batman and Robin
It doesn't even have the camp charm of the old TV series. It's just a bad movie, featuring such a poor script and awful performances that it seemed like everyone at Warner Brothers collectively lost their minds during its production. If any movie needed an executive to say "wait a minute, this is stupid" this was it.
The only good thing about it was Michael Gough as Alfred, who had the misfortune of having an expanded role in the worst Batman movie of them all.

I saw someone say Freddy Got Fingered and its a bad movie but it has a ton of LOL moments. They are so absurd but very funny so it makes you look past the fact that its not a good movie. I feel the same way about Saving Silverman. Terrible movie but the ridiculous scenes that make me LOL make up for it.

I feel the same way about Saving Silverman. Terrible movie but the ridiculous scenes that make me LOL make up for it. I can agree about those two. I can say that those two movies were bad, but I couldn't help but laugh during some scenes. Some of the scenes were funny in a nonsencical, stupid way. Anyway, in my opinion, I would have to go with Stealing Harvard. I remember going to see this at the theater and it wasn't so funny looking back. Maybe the robbery scene was the only redeeming quality, but it wasn't that great looking back. Same with A Guy Thing. Funny how I mentioned two Jason Lee movies and I actually enjoy My Name Is Earl and other things with him in them.

Lord of the Flies, even the kids couldn't save this movie from being utter crap, I must say though that the book is even worse As an English teacher, I'm pretty sure that I'll be seen as a biased commentator here... but I have to disagree with the book being seen as worse than "utter crap". When I first read Lord of the Flies in high school, I felt it was a pretty interesting read - and then I reached the end of the novel. I felt cheated, shocked, annoyed. In fact, I actually ended up hating the book based on its conclusion (or lack thereof). When I reread it later on in life, though, I really came to appreciate the novel as a whole: its allegory, the narrative arc and the reason for the abrupt finale. While I can certainly understand that Golding's pessimistic outlook and (at times) plodding, scenery-focused descriptions may be tough sells, I think that there is a lot that is worthwhile in the text. I love to teach it alongside Macbeth in order to challenge students' perceptions of the 'noble human' - to show how humanity can be corrupted by various forces. /Cool story bro //"Sucks to your ass-mar" ///If it makes you feel better, I've never liked To Kill a Mockingbird////The LOTF modern film adaptation was certainly lacking in several areas!

I swear I remember George Clooney apologizing for that movie in some interview. I know he came to a point of realizing how bad it was and admitting it. I remember one day they played it on TV and someone posted thread on here telling about what channel it was on. It must not be on TV that much.
