Now THAT is a hell of a teaser poster. Sure the rain is kinda cliche, but it's still awesome.

Another issue I had, and this really is a nitpick, but I hate how the mask is broken, as if it's porcelain or something hard instead of a cloth material. Pretty sure that's symbolism. I get that, though it does remind me of the scene where Bruce is building the mask, and he breaks one on the table cause it was a crap version. just that, dammit, I LIKE CLOTH! {/whats-her-face]

I mean I know its not porcelain but I though it was some sort of modified Kevlar something or another. I'm pretty sure its not cloth or anything similar though.

I always thought that it looked like rubber of some sort. Never battle the Joker's boners without your rubber! Ah the Silver Age Batman. When the word "Boner" meant something else. Innocent times.

Batman will have some cool Batman Resurrected vignettes culminating with the batmask on fire. Will not allow this to get no sold!

Another issue I had, and this really is a nitpick, but I hate how the mask is broken, as if it's porcelain or something hard instead of a cloth material. I think in the first film they referenced the front of the mask being made with some kind of alloy to protect his face. And this is obviously a reference to Knightfall where Bane "breaks" Batman. I heard they are including elements of The Dark Knight Returns as well. On a similar note, something occurred to me the other day about the redesign of Bane's mask for this film: its been confirmed that the Venom is going to be a gas that he breaths in from a pair of canisters on the mask itself, which kind of nullifies the whole "pull the tube out" scenario we have seen rehashed over and over in previous versions of the character. Which means if Batman wants to cut off the Venom he is going to have to get much closer and endure a much more prolonged fight with Bane to do so. So yeah, this mask probably works better than the lucha one from the comics.

So, it's called Dark Knight Rises, but it is about his defeat?
I realize he will eventually "rise" at the end, but still an odd title.
