What was that Arnold movie where in the future they have the XFL? That one is a bit incorrect now... The clone movie, 6th Day I think.

Look at the Lost in Space tv show. It was set in 1997, they were way off. Well, the movie came out around the same time the old TV show was set and the movie version was set in the 2050s I think.

Not a tv or movie but the slacker's bible had the world ending in 97 as well. But they did offer a sequel called Bob's guide to hell".

How about in 94 when the Earth got struck by a comet, plunging us into an age of sorcery, magic, and super science? Good thing Thundarr The Barbarian broke his bonds and restored order. Then there was 2005 and Unicron but we're not supposed to talk about th

I still like seeing floppy disks and CRT monitors in futuristic movies, even Futurama has them despite being late enough to see the way things were going. By 2283 Starfleet ships will be operating with Tandy 300 computer technology.

Okay, maybe not a movie reference but here it goes.
Seven years ago, was there an incident at some island called Shadow Moses?
Five years ago, did you hear about any tanker sinking in the Hudson River and seeing a big robot flying out of the ocean?
Three years ago, did you hear about some big contraption getting out of the Atlantic and into Manhattan, crashing into a few buildings?
Maybe in two years, we will hear about something going on the Middle East, South America, Eastern Europe, Shadow Moses again, as well as another big submarinal vehicle in the ocean once again.

Apparently the events of the animated Transformers movie happened way back in 2005.

Not sure how many will get this...
Remember that one time back in 1994 when Mr. Boogaloo and the BIM Corporation made us all wear those triangle stickers on our faces, and we had to get up and dance every BIM hour? Thank heavens Mr. Tubbs and his pimpmobile came down and put a stop to him. Although Bibi had some good songs...

Back to the Future Part II. We only have three years for Universal to crank out 14 more Jaws sequels. Not to mention three years to crank out Hoverboards. But in their defense...we actually have a Miami team now. It's just not called the Gators...yet.

At some point this century the Mark 13 robot will be made and proceed to kill lots of people on orders of the government in our new post nuclear war world. We will also be only able to listen to heavy metal and punk music.

If you want to count society's behavior in general, Demolition Man seems to be getting less and less likely. Greetings, fellow citizen! What's your boggle?

If you want to count society's behavior in general, Demolition Man seems to be getting less and less likely. I do find it funny that the seashell method in the movie is actually something people used to do, going by the contents of outhouses that have been scavenged. A friend of mine recently pointed out that people really do like old commercial jingles and stuff now too. He actually said to me "like in Demolition Man".
