Meh. On one hand , It could sometimes be awesome like the one with vince but normally Orton was off by a mile. On the other hand , It was sometimes awful. I really really really really really hate the idea of banning moves though so i'm not sure how to feel about this. What's your feeling on Memphis/Mexico and the piledriver

There's no way this could cause a concussion with how soft he's done it most recently. Any move where you hit the mat can give you a concussion. Big Show's WMD could give you a concussion if it actually hits you. The G2S could give you a concussion if Punk's knee actually hits. Ryback could whiff on that Big Boot he does and actually hit you in the head. One of Daniel Bryan's kicks could get away from him.
There's no way this move is actually banned. Punk & Bryan kick people in the head every match and nothing they do is banned.

He's a face, that's a good kayfabe reason for his not using it to injure/maim/completely decommission.

Well, ain't that just a kick in the head.
I could easily see this become an angle down the road.

I was wondering that recently...and I loved that move...Freaking means they will pull it from the video game as well too probably I doubt it. Not like they stop you from hitting chairshots to the head in those.

"Punt" is just a funny word. I don't care how devastating it is, I can't help but laugh. It's like when Snoopy used to be the "Mad Punter" in Peanuts.

This is probably just a setup so that the next time he punts someone, it can be even more "shocking".

I just thought it was used rarely and automatic DQ. As for Memphis , I was never a huge fan of Memphis.

I always wanted to see it happen where Orton goes to punt a guy only for the guy to move his head causing Orton to miss and fly out of the ring. Then the crowd starts chanting "BLOCK-HEAD! BLOCK-HEAD!" It'd be amazing.

I don't buy it. I believe he's saving the punt for his next heel turn. Concessional awareness? Then why aren't all the other kicks to the head banned?

I will be so pissed when that day comes, where you hit the button to smack a guy over the head with a chair and instead it automatically jabs them in the stomach, so they double over and you hit him in the back. By some fans' logic, the whole "Daniel Bryan is fired, but Bryan Danielson..." thought-process, all Randy would have to do is change the Punt to what it SHOULD be called, the Field Goal Kick or the Kickoff.

I don't get the logic of it. It's over, and he always misses the thing by a mile. Someone hasn't learned about 'holding back' Alright, Lesson time: In rasslin you can make it seem like you kicked someones head off yet all you did was lightly grazed them, The recipient then 'sells' the move accordingly.

Hell, even call it the "Venom Bite" or "Viper Strike" to go along with his stupid viper thing.

That top one with John Cena Sr....that is not lightly grazed anything. He kicked the hell out of him, its easy to see. The one with Vince had some force too, but he didn't hit him until he had already followed through with the kick for the most part. Still, solid contact was made. In rasslin, sometimes guys really get their head in.

Ninety percent of the time it looked ridiculous, so I'm fine with it being gone.

This is true; Randy Orton isn't one, But guys like Tajiri can make it look really really good. edit, Not intentionally, But my response upon reading it later has a dickish tone, For which I did not intend.
