Somewhere in between Summerslam and Night of Champions. I honestly thought this angle was going to change WWE for the better and take it in a new direction but they f'd it up big time.

End of Summerslam.
Punk may've come back too early, but that match between he and Cena there was great AND had ya marking cuz you didn't think they'd actually pull the trigger and have Punk win again.
Then Nash came through the crowd.
Screeching halt.

I think things started to slip downhill around the time that they changed Nash vs Punk to Punk vs Triple H. I honestly think none of this was supposed to happen, and they had planned to have Triple H and Punk feud, with Nash being Hunter's proxy to keep Punk away from the title (while the "company boys", Cena and Del Rio, would be feuding for the title, making Punk more and more frustrated with management), but once they revealed that Nash had sent the text to himself, it became obvious that plans were being changed.
And even then, I didn't really lose faith in this angle until Raw last week, and that's more because the logic behind it is tooth-achingly stupid and reeks of "oh shit, we need a Plan B!" booking.

I was enjoying it up until we got to the part where Kevin Nash revealed that he'd texted himself.

Kevin Nash texting himself.
You mean to tell me, it wasn't Laryngitis, it wasn't Stephanie (by the way, what WAS she doing hanging around John Cena's room at Summerslam anyway?), or even Triple H himself lying through his teeth about it, making CM Punk actually right in a way that mattered...but it was KEVIN NASH?
It's been a long time since I cared to pay attention to anything they did, but they briefly had me with the Punk storyline and how all the pieces fit together. This doesn't even strike me as a backup plan, it's just some thing somebody threw together at the last minute so they would never need to reference it again. It was a great reminder as to why I initially didn't care what they did.

For about a month, between Over the Limit and Capitol Punishment.
Then WWE inexplicably decided to build RAW around performers other than R-Truth, and everything went to hell.

I'm still interested to see where the story goes but I can only imagine what it could've become if WWE didn't choose to rush every single important plot point.

I've been losing interest since it stopped making logical sense. The heels are upset that they are beating people down? Come on!
