Eyes closed and one hand tied behind your back?
You tried that once with Hornswoggle and got out-wrestled and looked like a total fool while doing so.

He is right, but Cena is not an athlete. He's a "sports entertainer" and very reliable and good at that. Chavo is by far the better pure wrestler, but that's not all that matters. I don't know if Chavo could have done better in WWE, since he was put in crap storylines all the time and never really was given a chance to shine.

Chavo taught me that the Ultimate Warrior is a better worker than John Cena. He never said that. He said that it is retarded to say that Cena is a better athlete which I don't quite agree with. Warrior had the better physique, but I don't remember him doing any other sport beside bodybuilding. I do however think that the Ultimate Warrior at his peak was the better "sports entertainer" than Cena at his peak. Warrior had more entertaining promos, a better entrance theme and his matches are more entertaining to me than Cena's. Warrior's no selling at least had a point, since he was supposed to be superhuman.

I know Cena & I could beat him in any sport except weight lifting!
Golf, basketball, bowling, a race, tennis, horseshoes, hitting a baseball pitch, catching a football...anything!!!!Definitely golf

I'm still not sure whether Chavo believes everything he tweets or if he's trying to build up his internet smark cred. I'm also not sure which would be sillier. Heh, agreed.

I feel bad for Chavo, though I think his anger is a bit misguided. Chavo has spent his entire life in the business, as has his entire family. Thus, to him it's obvioulsy far more than a job, it's life. I get it, and I respect it.
However, Chavo is also the unluckiest guy in years. He's damn solid in the ring, and decent enough with a mic when he's given a chance, but he's not as charasmatic as his unle was, or his grandfather was, and his aunt is an instant heat magnet.
Sorry, but that's the one thing missing. Now, does that mean he doesn't belong in the industry? Hell no it doesn't, but he doesn't have that little something extra that makes him a main eventer. No shame in it, as his other uncles had long careers, survived bad gimmicks (Hector in particular), but ultimately were respected as being good hands and professionals. There is zero shame in that, because those are the guys that get consistant paychecks, they will always be needed.
Why is Chavo going at Cena? Simple, because I think Chavo hates the fact that it was so easy for Cena. Two, maybe three years from training to being on RAW, then two years later he's the top guy. Meanwhile Chavo spends his entire life in the business and sees everyone he came up with getting their chance, yet he got Kerwin White, wrestling with Horny, and even after Eddie's death, he was third banana behind Rey and Vickie.
So it's a mix of things, I think. Resentment of being passed over time and time again, and then seeing people get rocketed to the top who didn't "pay the dues" like he had to. It's not just Cena that he wants to take shots at, I'm guessing, but Cena is available and a visible target. I would say, though, that every time someone comes out of developmental that might have a year in the business, but who immediately gets launched to a higher platform than Chavo was at, the resentment would only grow.
Now, am I justifying Chavo's act? No, I'm not, but taken into perspective, I see the frustration as something that built for years. The Hornswoggle bit that he defended while he was with the company I guarantee ate at him. But, he toed the company line and didn't complain publicly. Thus, I'd say what we're seeing now is him finding a focus (albeit a misguided one) for the years of stupid gimmicks and never getting the chance that he felt he had earned.

To touch upon what you said about him just missing 'something', I always found him to be a very solid worker, but he almost never made me care about him in the ring. I *wanted* to, but outside the mini angle where he damn near won the US title and "retired", I just never quite got there with him

Why does it matter who is the best legitimate athlete? Wrestling isn't a competitive sport. It doesn't matter who is more likely to win 'a race', I would have thought Chavo would understand that.
Wrestling is about selling a story. John Cena does that more successfully than Chavo ever has in terms of numbers and in my opinion just plain better than Chavo ever has full stop.
As it stands it just seems like Chavo is angling for a way back into WWE. Fair play for trying to make himself relevant, but it's coming across as desperate and a little bit sad.
