I believe he has done it before, as he runs/ has run his own promotion. I seem to recall people saying he fathered Darren Young at some point. Fixed. And now I'm disappointed that Darren Young did not appear in that segment.

All jokes aside, he really would be great to have as a manager.
Maybe not even for Cena. He can be a more classic type of manager like what Heenan was and what Vickie is now where he would manage multiple mid-card guys to help put them over.

He runs (or at least is very involved in) a Boston wrestling promotion here, that works with a lot of former WWE guys and legends. He's known to the Boston audience pretty well.

I hae to say it, vocally I got a Jerry Stiller vibe. I didn't mind it, but that's just where my brain went.

Am I the only one who thinks this was the ultimate missed opportunity for a "AH WANT MAH SON BACK!!!" reference?

Apparently he works/has worked as a manager in a local promotion, and has done for years, stretching further back than Cena's debut in WWE. I may of course be wrong but that's just word around the campfire. And yes, I think WWE should use him at some point, especially if/when Cena Jr does turn. "...thats just word around the campfire." Brilliant idiom. And you've only been here since April? Welcome. Post more please.

He was hilarious. From the way he looks, his mannerisms and his voice he's just a hilariously awesome guy.
I'd love him to become a manager.

Didn't Vince McMahon even appear on one of his indie shows? Yeah, pretty much the biggest "holy s***" for that promotion for all time. Place goes nuts when he shows up. Also, Cena gets taken out by a belt shot from some indy dude. OK I want to know what kind of special powers that indy dude has,. He laid out Cena for 4 minutes. That has to be some kind of record.

I actually love that idea. That would be awesome. I would love that...but it would probably de-volve into some B movie plot where Cena has to fight matches to keep his dad from marrying Vickie, like Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson. John Cena Sr. - Sexual White Chocolate.

I'm not a John Cena fan at all, but I love Cena Senior. He's amazing. He deserves an appreciation thread.

I may of course be wrong but that's just word around the campfire. And yes, I think WWE should use him at some point, especially if/when Cena Jr does turn. Yep. I've been to a few local shows around my area, and he's really good at it. He's got an old school style to him, and he can rile up a small crowd when he wants to with the basic stuff. He even has his own $1000 bill prop with his face printed on it. I remember wanting to go to each show just to try and get one. But my favorite moment that had was a show that happened just after the RAW where Randy Orton punted him. He came out with this big neckbrace on and used a walking stick to get around. I was kind of surprised that they mentioned it, it was a nice touch. As for his appearance, I enjoyed it. I'm used to seeing him as a heel manager, so I laughed when he insulted some of the fans. He did his part, and in my mind, it worked well.

I can picture Cena's dad coming out during a crowd where the crowd is mostly for Cena and he's not getting booed much this time.
"HOW DARE YOU BOO MY SON! HE IS A GREAT MAN!"

Before Wrestlemania, they NEED to have a promo where Cena Sr addresses how mean The Rock has been to Cena Jr. To Rock's face.
