Just an idea, WWE................you may want to stop having your Smackdown Money In The Bank winner, the man who you plan on being in the Smackdown main event of Wrestlemania, get his ass kicked every week. [/quote Dude. He's on TV every week, involved in the World Title feud. Settle it down. Just because he is on tv every week does not mean I should settle down, espescially when that time is spent being Mark Henry's b****. Exactly. Imagine if Edge had won Money in the Bank in 2005, spent the entire year jobbing to John Cena, then cashed in on him in January and won. No one would have given a crap about him by the time he cashed in. Instead, they spent the rest of the year slowly elevating Edge to main event status. Bryan has just looked ridiculous since winning Money in the Bank. Most of his wins have occurred on Superstars, a show the casual fan doesn't even watch. The casual and mainstream fans (the "WWE Universe") only know what they see on RAW and SmackDown, and all they've seen on those shows is Daniel Bryan losing. A lot.

All these complaints about Bryan's booking seem to be taking it for granted he's going to be in a high-profile match at Wrestlemania and not, say, keeping the briefcase warm until a rising heel beats him for it and cashes in at an opportune moment.
I consider the later option significantly more likely.

The audience isn't thinking, "hey, that guy's on tv every week, he must be good and I care about him now" They're thinking, "that guy gets beat up every week, why is he even here?"

It's only November. It's possible WWE is going to be doing an awesome slow build for Bryan-Henry at Mania. Of course its also possible they never planned on him cashing in at Mania and he will either lose the briefcase or cash in soon (maybe Sunday? the pop would be huge in MSG).

He's no more Mark Henry's bitch than Randy Orton or Big Show, the latter of whom, I might add, is actually bigger than Henry is and got put on the shelf by Mark.

I think the WWE is just building up sympathy for D-Bry to get the crowd even more in his corner. That way, his road to the WHC would actually be challenging, making his win feel that much more special.

Just got back from the show, pretty standard Smackdown, I was kinda expecting more considering it was the final show before the PPV.
Smackdown really has problems drawing. This is the first time I haven't seen this (small) arena sold out, but the crowd there was hot throughout. Sometimes I wonder why they even bother with the fake cheers.

Oh...and EVERYBODY is Mark Henry's bitch at the moment.

I'm hoping that these beatdowns means Bryan comes to the realisation that he's not where he needs to be at and brings in Regal and HBK to mentor him again to train him to beat Henry and become champion.

You know I'm actually okay with the Morrison thing if it means we get Ryder and his dad having an awesome segment on ZTLIS.

The audience isn't thinking, "hey, that guy's on tv every week, he must be good and I care about him now" They're thinking, "that guy gets beat up every week, why is he even here?" Do people actually think their plan is to let Bryan look like a chump for months and months and just have his Money In The Bank shot be a throwaway? They're not going to make the guy look like a fluke when they've had him hold the briefcase longer than anyone else (excluding Edge's initial MITB), so they're obviously going to have him do SOMETHING with it. If he was going to lose the shot, they would have had it happen already. We've got multiple months left until WrestleMania and we haven't even hit the Royal Rumble buildup. They'll start building him up soon as an "I'm not going to be anyone's punching bag anymore!" type build, and have him look like a legit power player. Everyone wants immediate results with no road to the big payoff. If Bryan were winning all of the time, people would be saying "Why isn't he getting a title shot?" and his briefcase would seem pointless if he were going to wait until WrestleMania. They're in the perfect situation right now to build him back up as a true star. Just give it time to play out. If it were up to the internet Bryan would have already won the title and held it until at least WrestleMania. It's going to be a much better storyline this way.

The problem with a slow burn on DB is that he's not really strong enough to sustain a long period of weakness or random meandering.
I too believe at some point they will look at their WM and give him the hook... for somebody. They still have the Orton card to play with Henry if he holds for that long. No reason they can't revist the feud down the road as Orton plays Sting to Henry's Vader, getting closer and closer and closer until he beats him.
The easiest way to resolve this is just to remove MITB from play in its entirety. Henry bullies DB to the point he can't stand it any more and betrays his plan to wait until WM. Fights valiently, loses.

I wish the Chickbusters could pick up a win every once in a while. At least against Tamina and Rosa. Kaitlyn's had a pretty good list of wins lately, even if it's mostly Maxine and Tamina. Plus, considering Nattie sort of took them under her wing, it's not surprising that she'd have an advantage. Also, I'd love for Kenny to come back to the WWE. Not getting my hopes up, though...

One thing interesting to note about the D-Bry situation: Mark Henry is actively attacking him.
I think they're slowly building the idea that Henry's afraid of him, more than anybody else on the roster. Part of it's because of the threat of him cashing in on him and taking the title, but I think it'd be a huge boom to Bryan if they portrayed him as more of threat than Orton and Big Show.
