John Cena will never turn heel. I'm saying it, too.
And in WWE canon, Hulk Hogan never turned heel. Even when he returned with the nWo, he was cheered.

I wonder how many wrestling fans said "Hulk Hogan will NEVER turn heel." I wonder how many wrestling fans said "Ricky Steamboat will NEVER turn heel," and were right. Ricky is the exception, not the rule.

I wonder how many wrestling fans said "Hulk Hogan will NEVER turn heel." I wonder how many wrestling fans said "Ricky Steamboat will NEVER turn heel," and were right. To be fair, Steamboat didn't really stick around long enough to turn heel. Granted he had classic feuds with Flair that presented him as the man of honor, family man, and humble one against the high class Flair. But as a whole you can't compare Steamboat to Hogan or Cena.

Rock has got to be the one to turn. Even if the crowd doesn't all go along, its the most logical thing and will create the most interesting build to the match. One of them has to be the antagonist here, and its really been Rock since the beginning.

The only way Cena will ever turn heel is if his merch stops generating boatloads of cash. It doesn't matter if "the timing is right" or if "it makes sense", I just don't see it happening.

People seem to forget Hogan got plenty of boos mixed in with his cheers while in the nWo. And being heel or face isn't based solely on crowd reactions. It's based on the superstar's actions, and Hogan's actions showed that he was clearly heel at the time.

No chance of Cena turning heel.

No chance of Cena turning heel. Like I said, regardless of whether or not as far as "WWE canon" is concerned no one thought Hogan would turn heel. If you were a kid or your parents said "Hogan will be bad guy one day" you would've laughed. Same thing with Cena. I am sure at some point it'll happen. When or where is a completely different story.

They will pretty much have to turn Cena semi-heel because it's pretty much guaranteed the guy is going to be spewed upon with so much venom at Wrestlemania that all the pandering, religious overtones, nifty entrances, guys putting him over, and invincible Super Cena booking won't make a lick of difference and people will boo him anyway.
But I don't see it happening.

I hope The Rock's the one to turn on Cena. And while it likely won't work, I'd love for the WWE to try and make the crowd see Rock as a heel at Mania. The lengths the WWE would go to try and get the Miami crowd to boo him would be entertaining.
Plus Cena deserves to get screwed for trusting the man that cost him the WWE title.

Obviously at Wrestlemania 28, Vince will walk down the ring with a steel chair in hand... Hand the chair to John Cena, Cena clobbers the Rock to the point he can't kick out... Rock get's pinned 1.....2.....3 in his hometown, this sends everyone nuts.... Next night on Raw Rock & Cena will have a steel cage match & Rock disappears for another 7 years
Yes it's been done before but that was in 2001.. I'm not saying that's how it'll be done but something similar to this will happen.

So why not?

Same here, it would be the bravest, yet most logical move. And it would be damn fun to watch Rock try to actually get heat for the first time in 13 years. I bet he could do it too. Maybe not in Miami at Mania, but on TV, and in towns in middle America full of young John Cena fans, he could get mega heat.

Other than Hogan, I don't know of anyone that can make a crowd react how he wants them to react other than Rock.
