Ok, according to Rajah, there will be FIVE main events at WM 22. They are... HHH vs. Cena Angle vs. Orton Undertaker vs. Mark Henry Vince vs. HBK Edge vs. Mick Foley Edge vs. Foley apparently will be started by Foley mocking Edge for being a "transitional" champion, like Edge mocked Foley for being. rajah.com/base/node/4724

No Rey? Hmmm....that kinda defeats the whole purpose of the Royal Rumble.

Mick Foley mocking someone for being a transitonial champion??
Foley rocks and all, but his title reigns wernt exactly long epics either. The writers are like retarded or something.

I think it'll be a "you're no better than I was, and I have 2 more reigns than you!" sorta thing. I'm sure they way Edge won the title will be a topic of Foley mocking as well.

The WWE presents: Undertaker vs. Mark Henry. Because our shows DIDN'T suck enough just yet.

Aren't they going a *little* overboard with this? *Five* main event matches? Why not name name it "Wrestlemainevent 22" instead?

WM22 sounds bad storyline and match wise. This is going to be one of those ones you look back on at OWW and think 'wow, that totally sucked'/

Wouldn't 5 main events diminish the feeling of the main events in the future? You can't go overboard on this type of stuff.

Oh God! This Wrestlemania could be possibly be worse than WM 7 but not 9.
Not one of those matches look like they could be Epic battles.
Orton v Angle (mentioned this in other threads) HHH v Cena (I don't think HHH can pull a classic out of Cena) Undertaker v Mark Henry (This will be a classic.............not. I was hoping the Taker will drop the streak this year. Doesn't look like it now) Vince v HBK (Looks better than the 3 above and thats saying something) Edge v Foley (If this match is going to be good Foley is gonna have to hit the gym and lose some of that ring rust)
Man this Wrestlemania is looking depressing.

Uhhhhh...maybe I'm missing something, but are they just main events because they say they're main events? All matches are wrestlemania should be a big deal; that's why they're ON the show. But like would Angle vs. Michaels last year count as a main event? It had a pretty good build up, was easily the best match of the night, but was nearer to the middle of the card. I just don't get what exactly the distinction of a "Main Event" is, save for being at the end of the night or a main title match?

I think everyone is getting a bit carried away here. You could say that WM XIX had five big main events (Jericho vs HBK, Vince vs Hogan, Lesnar vs Angle, Stone Cold vs Rock, HHH vs Booker T) too. Each of them were promoted as huge matches...but only Angle/Lesnar was considered the main event.
So don't go so crazy people, we've been here before.

Undertaker and Mark Henry is not a main event. Period. That's actually an insult to Wrestlemania to say that.
Keeping Rey out of the main events is a mistake. He's one of the most exciting competitors around and can work a great match. I'd rather see him and Angle go at it. They wrestled some damn good matches a few years ago.
Foley was definitely a transitional champion during his final reign. Austin didn't want to drop the belt to HHH at Summerslam 99 so he dropped it to Foley instead. Next day, HHH beats Foley for his first world title.

Gah none of those matches interest me whatsoever. Maybe Angle-Orton just a bit, but besides that we have:
-2 Heels chasing the title going into Mania (not a good money making/ratings decision) -Mark Henry vs Taker >> doomed to be bull**** -Trips vs Cena >> can't imagine it being the most exciting match, and Cena doesn't interest me at all -Foley can't wrestle on a "main event" level anymore. Edge deserves better -No Rey -Mark friggin' Henry? -HBK should not be wrestling a 60 year old man who may or may not blow his quads midway through the match
Why can't they turn Cena heel and side him with McMahon, have HBK chase the title going into Mania, Trips vs Flair: the Final Encounter, Shelton vs RVD ladder match for the IC title, Rey vs Angle, Taker vs Benoit in a pointless but good match...THATS the kind of card I want for Mania.
Not Mark Henry, Vince, Foley and co in the main events! Jeez.

The WWE presents: Undertaker vs. Mark Henry. Because our shows DIDN'T suck enough just yet. lol! The Chicago curse continues! First, The NFL-WWF Battle Royal Then Sid v Taker and Rocky Maivia v. The Evil Sultan and now, well, pretty much the majority of matches you listed So-Cal and Chicago can't seem to get a WrestleMania card with amazing matches (though Angle v. HBK and Hart v, HBK and Hart v. Austin were all exceptions, the rest of the cards were nothing too memorable)

There's no god damn reason Mark Henry should even be on Wrestlemania. Ugh. I'd accept Kane, Big Show, hell even Snitsky before I'd accept Mark Henry. UGH.
Not to mention the lack of Rey Mysterio. Even if he doesn't get a World Title shot, he should get a high profile match anyway. Let them do Rey vs Edge from their interaction at RR.
Honestly, Foley vs Edge doesn't interest me. Nothing Foley does interests me anymore, sadly.

What a terrible set of matches.
Mark Henry has no reason to be anywhere near Wrestlemania.
Vince needs to keep his roided up ass out of the ring.
I like Foley and all, but he's not really capable of working a decent match anymore.
HHH and Cena is...Meh. The buildup will be rushed and it won't feel big.

God I hope one of my dumba$$ friends orders this so I know I didn't have to pay for it. This strikes me (early on) as an event that will be similar to WM XII, with one good match (then Hart/HBK, now Shane?HBK) and a godawful card.

How exactly would Edge Vs Foley be a main event?
WM always has a number of big matches, this year I would imagine would be no different.

Eh, I don't think even WWE knows what their WM22 matches are gonna be, let alone some random site.
As for UT vs. Mark Henry I could care less. Better to have him squash someone that sucks anyway rather than someone that's good.

Better to have him squash someone that sucks anyway rather than someone that's good. it isn't some random site reporting this, pretty much every legit, respectable pro wrestling news sites are reporting these are the matches because they each have been informed so from their inside sources inside WWE. These sites all reported this a few weeks ago, and they all reported Rey Mysterio would win the rumble but wouldn't end up in a main-event match at Mania...and rey did win the rumble, but hasn't lost his spot....yet
