Slightly off-topic; I much prefer a higher frequency of defenses. You never seem to get a 'fighting champion' these days. It's a strangely easy gimmick to give someone like a Kofi Kingston for example, to simply give him a reason to be on TV.

Long reigns are better than having multiple reigns in my opinion. For example Edge is an 11 time champ, but 10 of those reigns were less than 100 days which is pretty bad. I'd rather have one or two 300+ day reigns, over 10 small reigns.

While I prefer a healthy mix of both, longer reigns provide more stability.
