Yes, and since you voted for A New Hope over Clockwork Orange, and Clockwork Orange over Empire, it only stands to reason you think A New Hope is better than Empire Strikes Back, which it isn't. You really need to stop talking like your opinion is fact. I'm not. My opinion is that Empire is a much better movie than A New Hope. Also, you need to stop calling the kettle black, pot.

Personally i'd consider Empire to be the weakest of the original three. I find the Cloud City & Dagobah scenes to be slow moving and tedious at times.
But opinions are opinions and everyone is allowed to have them.

A Clockwork Orange, I guess. Kind of a disappointing final, in my opinion.

A Clockwork Orange, I guess. Kind of a disappointing final, in my opinion. Not to be mean to the nominators but the tournament needed a better pool of movies. Nowhere near enough diversity; essentially could've been called "Best American Blockbusters Ever Tournament".

Should we call this in favor of Star Wars A New Hope 7-6?

Yeah I think I'll call it. Congratulations to A New Hope! The FAN's Choice for best American Film of all time. Now if anyone wants in on my next idea for a tourney, PM me and I'll send you the concept.

I see "Best American Film" and then wonder how Seven Samurai made it in, let alone so far. Thanks for hosting the tourney, Waffel113, it was a lot of fun. Not really surprising that Star Wars won.

Well that was in response to what irontyger said. He said best film was a stretch since we all nominated American Blockbusters, the possible exceptions being Akira and Seven Samurai.

I know, I was teasing.
I don't think I nominated for this one either, but if I did I'd probably have put in a lot of stuff that might not have made it past the first round. When/if I finally made up my mind, haha.
