After being the longest reighing champion, JBL gets squashed like Honky Tonk Man at a Summerslam. So what do you guys think about the Boggyman character ? Unlike Papa Shango, he is a "good guy" demon. It's kinna like how Hell Boy was really freaky and demonic but he was there to go after the bay guys.

The Boogeyman is over because he has got a gimmick. The fans are sick of generic wrestlers in black shorts (in Australia they're called undies), so the Boogeyman was a breath of fresh air in that regard.

Was JBL the only one available to get squashed on PPV?
I mean, JBL was champion last year at this time, and now gets defeated in record time by a funny looking freak with no credentials or background whatsoever?
The Boogeyman was quite enjoyable the first couple of times, but now he's getting old IMO. It seems like he's not a wrestling wonder (actually I wonder if he can wrestle a match), so it has to be seen what will happen to him in a few months.
Worms, smoke and dancing are fine for a while, but the gimmick without wrestling won't go far.

JBL Squash sounds like a disturbing alternative to orange juice.

I was pissed the way that JBL was squashed by this freak. The entrance is the coolest thing about this goof. The worms have got to f***ing go.

I don't get it myself. I'm glad JBL is the go-to guy that he'll do the job like that, but why him? Why have Boogeyman bust up a former champ like that. They were trying to put Boog over as a big scary thing who can whomp ass AND scare the pee out of you, but... Did anyone come away with that impression? No. It came off as sad and pitiful.
I had such hopes for Boog, too. And yes. Lose the worms.
*snicker* Oh, we so have to incorporate that here.

I think WWE was hoping that by having Boogey destroy JBL that quickly, that it would make him look AMAZING for accomplishing such a feat.
The problem with that is, Boogey only did like 5 moves and that was it. So it didn't seem at all like Boogey just fought the hardest match of his life to pull off the upset... it just made JBL look like a jobber.

JBL isn't that great of a wrestler but he can take bumps and dish out enough moves and he's probably one of the best on the mic in the fed.
Too bad they made him job to ol pumphandle.

He did 5 moves? Maybe if the other 4 were 3 punches and a kick...
Wait, I don't think he even did that much.

Yeah, i'm all for boogeyman coming in and beating someone big, since he is over. But he did make jbl look super weak, and it really raises the question of who the hall can beat the boogie?
Plus he needs a better finisher, as many have said before.

I just watched the match again. Boogey punched JBL once then went for a choke that JBL broke very quickly. That is it. No more offense at all. The pump-handle slam put away one of the most recent WWE champions, not to mention someone who held it for 10 months.
Just awful.

Boogeyman is getting the Cena push.
He's going to steal the Title match from under Rey and Orton's noses, and beat Angle at Wrestlemania in 3 minutes.
And reign for 3 years.

I love Boogeyman, however JBL getting demolished at the rumble was stupid as he's been the top heel on sd for the most of the past year and now he's a glorified jobber
