So I'm watching TNA and during a Bobby Roode promo he refers to himself as "God's gift to professional wrestling"...BOBBY ROODE IS COPYING ME! How do you think I felt when Big Johnny came out in the hoverround? They're ripping us off I tells ya!

I'd like to think WWE temporarily ripped me off with Ezekiel Jackson's push. I mean sure black, tough, angry Jackson was never original (See Samuel L.) but during my title reign was when Jackson got his IC Title Push and was destroying everyone with his new finisher, the Torture Rack. A move that not only had been my finisher since the very beginning, but one that hasn't been used in WWE as a finisher in 15 years.

We still need a writer for Coventry and Nett. Again, I can cover commentary if someone covers the match.

Working on both a Boiler Room and a Nakatomi Plaza segment with a bunch of people. I should have thought to do the former sooner instead of the way I originally approached it. Check your inboxes, those involved.
That said, so far, the show technically isn't late insofar as Monday is far from over. I like to think I've gotten pretty good at damage control. That said, something has to change about the culture of writing around here. I remember a time when matches would quickly be snatched up week in and week out. What happened? Surely there is an element of us all growing older and having more responsibilities in our lives, sure, but it often comes down to most of the same people doing all of the writing. Maybe newer members feel intimidated by writing even though I go by the "better to try and fail than fail to try" approach with writing.
So here's something I am going to experiment with from here until at least Battle Bowl. Why browbeat people week in and week out with the lack of drive to write matches when I can attempt to incentivize it?
Here's my great experiment: every week, points are rewarded to people who write material for shows. Every X amount of points can "buy" a title shot.
Here's what I'm thinking: 2 Points for writing a booked match i.e. any match that appears on the voting card 1 Point for writing commentary to a match 1 Point for writing a promo, vignette, video package, skit, or squash match +1 Point if one writes multiple of any of the above - this does not stack for each instance.
Furthermore, I want real effort in any of the above - no half assing. I don't want promos that are one or two lines long. I don't want matches that end in a dozen moves. I want commentary that actually guides the reader through the match and spices it up.
Each title will cost the following: TV Title Shot - 12 Points Freakin' Awesome Title Shot - 25 Points Interforums Title Shot - 25 Points World Heavyweight Title Shot - 50 Points
I deliberately set this up so that it takes time to reach each level of title shot so that there is a balance between earning title shots because of booking and earning title shots because of writing. The members who will benefit the most are those that write the most and get over the most and in the end, does that not make some sense?
I want to hear everyone's thoughts on this matter. Or what passes for "everyone" in these usual discussions.

So... Everyone is dandy with my idea? The show is coming along... is. I hope to post it tomorrow, but the fact I'm saying that only demonstrates where there needs to be change.

I like the idea, really. I think it would be good to give incentives to help with match writing. It does tend to be the same people writing every week. I couldn't do it this week because it was a busy weekend where I was hardly around in the first place.
I enjoy writing matches so it would be nice to get rewarded for doing something I like. And of course it would give us more writers in general.

I think the idea is fair, I'd write more but I'm not too confident in my writings and I'm still getting to know everbody

I have just have two questions about it.Will we be notified of our point total? and will the matches earned by points be taking place on Nite Raw or what's the deal with that?
