1. Just Go With It, Jack and Jill, Grown Ups, Funny People, all movies that saw him playing successful, grounded characters. 2. That's My Boy was rated R, something Sandler almost never allows of his films. You do know the sister in Jack and Jill was also played by Sandler, right? Yeah, doesn't change the fact that Sandler has been playing way too many rich dudes lately, that's not what audiences signed on for with him. And I figured out exactly what was wrong with that movie, it actually expected people to be on the side of the obnoxious sister. Example: They go to a surprise birthday party for Jack, they include Jill at the last minute, she has a hissy because they don't get seperate cakes, he tells her not to make a big deal of it, she storms off and the film expects you to be on her side, which is f***ing ludicrous. This is basically every scene in the movie, she is horrible, and the movie says it is because he is mean to her, but she is always hostile to him, why should he be nice to her? I can't remember the last time a movie and it's audience disagreed so thoroughly with each other aboul itself.

Total Recall is a film that didn't need to be remade. Maybe they should've just left it alone or released the original to be in theatres again. The original has a certain charm that I feel this one definitely doesn't have.
Schwarzenegger, Stone, Ticton(spelling?), and Ironside just seemed right for their particular roles. It's hard to imagine anyone else as those characters, as it's also hard to imagine a film that will overtake that one as well.

They could have adapted another Phillip K. Dick story. He got to have at least one that hasn't been adapted yet.

Of all the recent reboots, a PG-13 Total Recall reboot with Colin Farrell is by far the most random of them all.

I'm still giving the edge to Total Recall since horror movies is the genre with the most remade rebooted franchises. Still whats the next random reboot that's going to feature Colin Farrell or has he done any other reboots before?

Surprised DKR is dropping fast. Figureed it'd have more legs.
Also, what's the budget on Diary 3?

Surprised DKR is dropping fast. Figureed it'd have more legs. Also, what's the budget on Diary 3? $22M according to BOM. So it should make some money back. Ice Age 4 probably took a chunk out of what the movie made this weekend. Also, the previous two movies came out in March while this one came out in the dead of summer. They also have three more books to adapt (they decided to merge the previous two books together for this movie), so they'll be fine. EDIT: Anyways, next week is probably the last weekend for awhile (probably until Paranormal Activity 4 hits theaters in October) that we'll see a $50M+ opening for a movie. I see Bourne Legacy doing pretty good numbers. Universal wants it to do good, because they're been frothing at the mouth over the fact that the next one could be a Renner/Damon team-up if it does well.

You know, I miss having the Avengers in the theatre. I never got tired of watching it. I think it would've been great to have Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, and The Dark Knight Rises all in the same cinema.
I kind of miss the days as an employee where basically every movie we had was either awesome or good.
As for Total Recall flopping? I can't say I am surprised. Now if only Robocop will do the same.

I know. Waiting for the Avengers on Blu-Ray is killing me at this point.
