And there I was thinking Todd might be a undercover cop.

Tonight, I caught my very first taste of Breaking Bad. I tuned in just in time for the ending. I think I'm officially a fan of this show.

I was sitting there for what felt like forever saying "WAVE BACK AT THE KID YOU IDIOTS"
and then he did and it became painfully apparent what was about to happen

Todd's probably going to die in the next episode but man....Todd is insane. Todd kind of scares me a little bit. Hey look, he's moved on from rage killing rapists in Dillon, Texas. It was a process.

My episode review/analysis is in the sig, but MAN, I loved the shit out of that. I love a good heist, and Jesse is practically becoming the MVP of this half-season with his badass ideas (which don't ever require that anyone gets hurt - it's always the other people in his operation that seem intent on living the straight-up gangster lifestyle - so yeah, respect to Pinkman).

The episode's been over for hours and that ending is still staying with me. It's the kid waving, that gets me.
Goddamn you, Todd.

Okay, Todd panicked and Walt's going to kill him next week for taking matters into his own hands and totally leaving evidence of their crime. Not only did he kill an innocent bystander, but he killed a freaking kid! Talk about a liability.
OR
Todd is actually corrupt and is more of a threat than Walt expected. You think he was just asking all those questions out of curiosity? No, he's doing it because he wants in on the operation and he wants in bad!
Regardless, this was a great episode and I loved Jesse's role. This may have been my favorite one this season.
And for the love of Gawd, someone get a screen cap of that shot of Walt, Jesse and Mike standing next to each other when they were going off on Lydia.

That whole heist sequence, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, and just when I thought I could relax for a second the kid pops up again.
I love this show so much, but I hate the fact that it is a TV show, because every week I want to see what happens next immediately and don't want to wait a week. Yes I know that is the mark of a great show.

f*** every episode of this season just gets better and better. Todd is going to be a major threat. I thought he was a undercover cop at first but I think he might be a undercover rival drug dealer. Part of the Gus 9 or something. Like he shot that kid without hesitation or remorse. That's not normal so he's either insane or a seasoned criminal who did shit like this before.

Todd shot that kid because he thought he was doing it on Walt and Jesse's orders. They both warned him, explicitly, that no one else could find out about the heist. It was evident how pleased it made Walt that Todd was impressed with their thoroughness. Even Jesse laughed at it.
The guy just thought he was getting into his new employers good graces, like he did when he mentioned the nanny cam. I'd be surprised if he had some other motive.

If Todd isn't killed right away next week (nor working with a motive), I wouldn't be surprised if he's ultimately used as a tool. Almost in the same way Gus tried to manipulate and use Jesse against Walt.

f*** this episode was intense. Can't wait to see the fallout from Todd doing his best to follow what he was told. Walt did say "Are you sure you understand?" when they told him that nobody can know about it...

I was reading the recap on ew.com (which was very well written, BTW). In the comments section, several people noted the parallels between this episode and Heat, which Hank had just purchased.
Brilliant stuff there.

I have to completely avoid this thread but I came in here to post this little tidbit:
I've heard of the show but never saw it. Yesterday, I was bored and needed something to do so I went and checked Netflix and I saw they have all the seasons. I said to myself: "I might as well check this out, see what's supposedly so great about it..."
Yeah, now I'm seriously hooked. Why the hell did I wait so long to watch this for? I watched the entire first season already and I can't wait to see the rest. What a great show.

Brilliant episode. That ending was great, I didn't expect the opening to be wrapped up right at the end but the execution (no pun intended) was wonderful. I think Todd's actions might well be the straw that breaks the camel's back in this operation. Since Jesse will want rid of him for killing a kid, Mike will want him gone since he's already under surveillance and this kind of situation will raise police attention. Walt, maybe not so concerned. For him, the train doesn't stop. Killing children isn't an issue for him. Nothing is. As long as the meth keeps flowing. That's how far he's fallen.
