I know this may sound like nitpicking, but bear in mind that Damien Sandow's character revolves around intellectualism; he would nitpick this too.
Having said that, if anyone else can help me on this, it's greatly appreciated.
It sounds like Cole says something like "COBITO ACIET" which is pretty much wrong off the hop, as even I remembered elbow = 'CUBITUM' and a quick check of my Latin dictionary given 'ACETUM' as literally 'vinegar' or metaphorically 'sourness of disposition' which sounds like a pretty good fit for 'disdain'.
So, throwing 'ACETUM' in the genitive ('elbow of disdain') we get 'CUBITUM ACETI' which seems like that's what it is, especially if you consider the possibility that Cole just juggled a couple syllables or misheard what was being said.
Anyone else wanna weigh in?

It fits if Sandow's going for the fake intellectual angle, and he told Cole that and Cole passed what he heard on as true, to make himself sound smart. Last week, Sandow misspronounced one of his $5 as well, and I thought that would be great for the gimmick if he did let mistakes drop. Again, this is assuming the Sandow character is a pseudo-intellectual, trying to sound smart in front of people he deems stupid.

I did notice "This said idiot..." which seemed redundant, since "Said idiot..." would suffice. Incidentally, I love how Sandow refers to Kidd as an ignoramus, and then Kidd responds by adopting a dopey expression and waving to the crowd. It's as if he was determined to resemble that remark by any means necessary.

I have no idea why this idea is that Sandow is a fake intellectual is spreading. He's supposed to be a real intellectual; he's just written by people who think the audience is full of idiots, and so they put no effort into making his smarty-pants lines actually smart.

I'm not saying that IS his gimmick, but it's and idea that's been bounced around since he came in. Just pointing out that if this WAS true, these are clues to it.

I will admit, the "pseudo-intellectual" angle would be a perfect way to give him his ultimate comeuppance at a key point in a feud. Some G4 footage of him talking in internet slang ("Like, Ohm-Gee, I was all double-you-tee-eff evah") while slugging cheap beer would be a perfect strategic deflation. Having said that, I'm still almost certain he's trying to be a genuine intellectual, they just can't find a writer to keep up.

I think the pseudo-intellectual thing started during his promo where he cited Webster's Dictionary, the ultimate sign of someone who think they are smart.
Of course, that just could be the case of a writer that's guilty of being a pseudo-intellectual.
