Is anyone else having problems with their discs cracking or splitting near the center?
I now have to buy another Black Ops disc because the first 2 had a hairline split right near the center.

Had a blast last night playing Red Dead Redemption with Joker, KStrick & Wu along with Razor supplying an unlimited ammunition of puns made it an enjoyable Friday evening. Thanks guys. Definitely have to do it again sometime. Ugh... the puns... the never-ending puns! Oh c'mon now, it wasn't that .... un bearable

Nope, is your xbox positioned vertical or horizontal? It's horizontal. Is it on a stand/desk/table surface? If so, is it sturdy?

Is it on a stand/desk/table surface? If so, is it sturdy? Yes, it's on my entertainment center, and it is very sturdy. This is the only game I have this issue with.

Can someone explain to me why in the blue hell a game thats 8 years old is selling for over $100? First, PLAY THEM. They are fantastic, and quite possibly the best use of the Star Wars license in gaming. Secondly, probably only because a mint, new copy of it is rare. Note that it is 20, used. If you want it cheap, get the PC version. 10 dollars at Steam, and sometimes it is on sale. That, or 100 at Steam for the Star Wars Collection which is "Star Wars Republic Commando™ , Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Battlefront® II , Star Wars Galaxies™: The Complete Online Adventures, Star Wars Starfighter™, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition, Star Wars® Empire at War™: Gold Pack"

Actually, I have no idea why they're that expensive, I never thought they were that rare or anything. If you're interested in KotOR you might want to invest in the PC version instead, you can get that from Steam for under ten dollars although you might need to do some extra work to make it run on modern systems. e:fb

KOTOR works just fine on newer systems. I have Vista 64. KOTOR II works as well as KOTOR II ever has...
Actually, I've had more issue playing the X-Box versions on a 360 than playing the PC versions.

I take it you haven't tried to run KotOR on a Windows 7 machine with an ATI graphics card and a widescreen monitor. (There's some sort of a problem with the monitor refresh rate that crashes the game as soon as you start it up) Took me ages to finally get it to work, and the worst thing is that all I actually had to do was to disable the Bioware and Lucasarts logo FMVs by renaming them.

Nope. I had no issues on Vista 64, with a widescreen monitor and an NVIDIA graphics card though.
That's one downside of PC gaming, all the variables, upgrades, etc. I'm primarily a console gamer for that reason (Plus I like to not drop a grand on a system that is already obsolete)

I got both of the from Ebay for about £8 a piece. compared as to how the local GAME had them for £15 each, it's a bargain.

Even though I prefer the PC version of KotOR (it looks better, runs better and you can install some absolutely amazing mods on it), the Xbox version isn't bad by any means. I think I played through that like five times before I got a PC that was capable of running anything. (Then I played through the game another five times when I got the PC version) KotOR II should definitely be played on a PC, though, as the Xbox version doesn't have any sort of a content restoration patch or any other patches for that matter (Basically meaning that it's hideously buggy and has a huge chunk of content missing. With most of the content restored and most of the bugs fixed, it's at least as good if not better than the original KotOR).

Well, looks like my X-Box may or may not have crapped out on me.
I've tried 2 power cables, and both are red-light, so I'm not sure if it's the console or the cable/box itself. I'm trying all sorts of different things, and have already called Microsoft about a replacement, but it looks like I may have to send both the system and the cable back.
Dag, I just got over the PSN thing, now I have to deal with Microsoft. Hopefully since I'm still under warranty I can update it to the new slim one at a cheaper price. I've heard those things work better...
EDIT: Disregard, I think I've got it working now... we'll see if it holds up. I work tonight, so that will give it more "cool down" time (if it was "overheated"), but this is a step in the right direction...
