I'd laugh. I wouldn't come anywhere near WWE current for at least two weeks as I really wouldn't enjoy reading through the angry fallout, but the surrealness of it all would tickle me.
And it's not as if the punt would damage Jericho's legacy. Not only is he a multi-time world champion, but he's had arguably even better crossover success than Cena at times, just through his DWTS run and all of his VH1 work.
