Ha, I haven't watched in months but this doesn't surprise me at all. That they put in so much effort to push her like this when they could use it for more qualified people is a total head-scratcher.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Eve has been paired with a random midcarder in an effort to try and get her some of their residual overness.
She’s done everything from rolling with Cryme Tyme to rapping with R-Truth to dancing alongside Chris Masters while he did his little pec dance. She’s even been champion a few times. But for whatever reason, she just can’t get over like they want her to. And they must really want her to get over because for the past 2 years it’s seemed like they always try to somehow find a way to get her on TV every week.

Wow. We consider male/female storylines as punishment now? Really shows the divas' position on the totem pole... >_>

Considering Ryder has been teasing this on Twitter for a few weeks now, I don't buy it.

Wow. We consider male/female storylines as punishment now? Really shows the divas' position on the totem pole... >_> If it makes sense and isn't forced, it can be quite good. Edge and Vickie? Two hateable heels, eventually twisted to turn one face. Perfect use of both of them. Santino and Beth? Hilarious and well-done. Perfect odd-couple relationship and the fans ate it up. Zack and Rosa? Funny, plus it's two vacuous neer-do-wells. Perfect match. Morrison and Melina redux? Could've worked if followed through. Dolph and Vickie? Two charismatic heels, rebounding off of one another. Not a bad fit at all. AJ and Daniel Bryan? Could've been something good if actually used. Zack and Eve? Another attempt to randomly shoehorn a woman with a dude to get her some cred.

I don't get why Ryder's even being punished for the low ratings. So they think the ratings are low so he of all people get punished? They were all there, I mean yeah he's not the "head guy" like those other 2 but come on now.
Honestly I'm waiting for Brodus to debut next week so he can feud with Ryder over that belt so we can really get some quality matches out of Ryder. He's got it in him and he will do well and the same for Clay. Beyond that mix it up with Eve I guess, have Clay attempt to attack her or take her or something I don't know.
Have him put her in a castle with his Bowser looking ass. Either way it'll be good television.

Considering Ryder has been teasing this on Twitter for a few weeks now, I don't buy it. Can't say I buy it either based on people distorted the observer radio last time(with Punk). Until somebody with actual subscription says this is what was actually said, I won't even consider it a possibility. You know, if Ryder DOES get punished then this will become absolutely hilarious. "WE WANT RYDER" "...FINE" [3 months pass, they push him down the card again] "WE WANT RYDER" [Repeat] It will be like an eternal underdog movie.

Ryder wasn't going to be kept in the main event scene anyway as long as both Punk and Cena are faces. And there were 5 other people in the main event last week, so it'd make no sense to only punish Ryder for bad ratings. And this Ryder/Eve thing feel more like a waste of time rather than a punishment. if they were going to really punish someone they'd throw him on Superstars. So I'm going to go and call B.S. on this.

If you want to slowly remove someone's overness, putting Eve with them is a great way to do it.

It could be worse, at least they didn't force him to start calling Ted Dibiase Junior the best broski of all time or anything.

Zack is already over like rover. The only person this would benefit would be Eve, who doesn't deserve to be riding his coat tails. Precisely my issue with it. Eve is starting to remind me of Michelle McCool--she's OK in the ring but can't get over and they keep throwing angles and title reigns at her and no one cares.

If they want Eve to get over she should open up a little bit in some Z True Long Island story sketches.
You could even retroactively put her in some of the classic sketches.
Digitally insert her into Zack & Primo vs catering. Have her sing along with some of the Broski on Broadway songs or the Christmas songs.
Make fun of her name with outfits. A santa hat = Christmas Eve! 2012 glasses = New Year's Eve!
The possibilities are endless!

Are we talking about a sex tape here? If so I'd watch it, the way Eve booty pops she has some skills. Hopefully there will be no fist pumping though.... Only if we were still in the Attitude era.

See, that's the thing that doesn't make sense. How is Zack Ryder being put in a midcard storyline a punishment if he is a midcarder? Did people think the US champion was going to be main eventing every Raw or something? And the idea of Punk not being in the last segment this week just because of ratings is silly. The Kane/Cena segment definitely felt that it should have gone on last over Punk's random gauntlet challenge. And even if the WWE did think that keeping Punk away from the main event spot would raise ratings, they couldn't keep it up for long. Punk is WWE champion, so the audience is going to expect him to main event an episode of Raw every once in a while.

Don't forget hanging around with Kelly Kelly... who is pretty damn over for reasons I can't entirely explain.

But this deal with Eve has been going on for weeks now. Dare I say a month or more.
