I think he's a pretty good wrestler personally. But again they have now made him a "5 moves of doom" kinda guy, so he can't really do that much. He had some awesome matches on ECW where he was busting out all kinds of stuff, i.e. the infamous Tiger Bomb on Christian that he hasn't done since for some reason. That 'infamous' Tiger Bomb is probably the most overrated singular use of a move in the history of wrestling. If you say Ryder's not that good, expect "he used a Tiger Bomb on Christian 2 years ago on ECW" as part of the reply. SO!? This is what I think should be referred to as "Pulling a Bob Holly." Whenever someone said "Bob Holly sucks" or "Why have him on the roster?" people always said "When he wrestled Bobby Lashley...he lacerated his back and the show WENT ON!" Or Finlay (and mind you, Fit Finlay was a longtime favorite of mine) and how, when someone asked who the toughest wrestler to walk the planet is, you might hear a "Brian Knobbs lacerated his knee at a WCW House Show!" But yeah, doing a Tiger Bomb doesn't make you great. That's why a guy like Seth Rollins is still in developmental. He just does a bunch of moves and expects that suddenly makes him a great wrestler, with psychology, acting ability, and speaking ability all taking a backseat to doing moves for the moves' sakes. Granted, Ryder IS pretty talented and can have good matches with guys and often does, but the tiger bomb thing is a tad much of a stretch.

I wasn't saying the tiger bomb alone makes him a good wrestler. I'm just saying it was cool for me to see a move that isn't used often in WWE, and the fact he hasn't used it since is a shame.
Don't bite my head off about it, jeez.

*starts a "Zack Ryder is not a meme" meme in a similar style as the Milhouse one* As for Zack himself...well...just look at my signature to know what I think. It's pretty much in my blood to hate obnoxious douchebags.

Oh boo hoo... My tweets weren't retweeted... How will ever I go on? He probably gets hundreds of them a day. He's a professional wrestler, not a professional Tweetmaster. I see what you're saying, but would a couple of responses to dedicated fans be quite so bad? That's why everybody loves Scott Stanford, not just for his awesome announcing, but because he's really quite authentic and he's happy to talk to his fans on a frequent basis. But for Zack, why do people have to buy his stuff for a chance for him to talk to them? That's so...commercial. Back to the hipster dilemma! I've never meet Ryder but he's not a wrestler you normally hear who is a dick to a fan, to judge him on whether he RT's everyone on twitter is unfair think about how many people probably ask him the same questions and tweet him pointless stuff plus i don't think Ryder checks to see if you bought his merch before he reply's to you

He's alright, I really liked the match with Ziggler at TLC. That was definitely a great step for him, to have a kick ass match on PPV. His gimmick is just so outside of something I would enjoy that he's got to be consistently good in the ring for me to really get into him. I do agree that he's an Attitude Era Road Dogg type throwback, where it's all about his entrance and his catchphrase, moreso than most guys today. I wasn't saying the tiger bomb alone makes him a good wrestler. I'm just saying it was cool for me to see a move that isn't used often in WWE, and the fact he hasn't used it since is a shame. Don't bite my head off about it, jeez. No one's biting your head off, I just think it's hilarious. Like, so much as happened in the last 2 years, in pro wrestling, in life itself, but DAT TIGER BOMB (and it wasn't even the cool kind), NEVER FORGET! It will forever be evidence of Zack Ryder's awesomeness! Wrestling fans are a strange bunch.

Don't remember Ryder's "Wear my shirt, I'll RT you" thing? He was doing that before ZTLIS caught on. I'm not saying he's got to chat it up with everybody, but he just seems so isolated from the very people who made him what he is.

Its not that I hate him, I just don't get him. The woo woo woo thing...makes my skin crawl. I liken him to that guy who used to do the worm. I didn't care for him either. I appreciate that he busted his ass to get to the show. But, who in the wrestling business hasn't?

Your tweets are clearly not interesting enough for a reply/RT

Zack Ryder is quickly becoming the new John Cena. With a few minor differences, of course. But the comparison is crystal clear.

Or I'm guessing that wrestlers, especially ones that are also internet personalities, simply get bombarbed with so many tweets that they maybe don't see every one, let alone have the time to reply?
I mean, I panic when I get more than 2 posts on Facebook.

No, if you look at his timeline, he does it in blocks, but only VERY sporadically. Like it has to be a preset Q&A, and a big to-do, but otherwise he won't respond back to people.

Which is pretty much what most wrestlers and indeed most celebs do. There's plenty of guys that are "Right, I've got ten minutes, send me your questions!" or go on a sudden and short RTing spree. Generally, if you don't time your tweets for when somebody is actively tweeting others, you're not likely to get a reply. And Ryder is a sweetheart and this thread is the usual wrestling hipster nonsense. Surprised an equivalent Punk thread hasn't sprung up.

That's not what happens with most of the wrestlers I follow, who are mostly WWE or ex-WWE, and otherwise TNA, and they all can spare time on a semi-regular basis to . With most celebs it's a bit of a different story since they're usually doing top-tier promotional stuff, but with wrestlers, a few minutes in the day really isn't a big loss. I'm not hating on the guy. I think he's a talented performer, but I just think he could do that a little bit more often for the people who are so strongly responsible for his success. Just a way to give back.

I can't stand the guy. I've never understood his hype. Someone else said it was the "hipster effect" and I think that's the best explanation for his success. Every time I see him, all I can think of is that he's getting this push on TV because of the "Make a Wish" program.

At least you dislike him for a reason that is not "I hate him because everyone else likes him". Although I disagree with you, I can at least respect your opinion.

I've hated him for a very very long time, but this year I finally started respecting him a little. I still hate him though.. With Ryder, everytime I see him on TV I just think that maybe Broadus Clay could be there kicking ass instead. I think at best Ryder could be in tag team with Santino..

So who are you guys going to turn on next? Bryan? Punk? Bourne? Christian? Henry? Masked Kane? Jericho if he comes back?
You guys helped make him, and now you're unhappy? He's being shoved down our throats? He's being used on TV a lot Not 6 months ago everyone(Including myself) were pissed that he wasn't on TV at all.
I don't get you guys sometimes.

So who are you guys going to turn on next? Bryan? Punk? Bourne? Christian? Henry? I'm a Paul Heyman Guy... Punk and Bryan can do no wrong to me.. Everyone else you have mentioned bores me.. I've been watching wrestling since maybe around the time Big Bossman got his ass kicked by Nailz. So I've seen my fare share of Christan and Henry through the years

Only thing I'm not crazy about is the crowd being called upon to do that "WOO! WOO! WOO!" chant like 35 times a show (feels like it anyway) I was at Raw on Monday, decked out in Zack Ryder apparel, and let me tell you... It's damn fun to be a part of that chant. I can understand not wanting to see it on TV so often, but when you are there live, you can't help but get into it.
