One thing thats pissing me off is that this game isn't allowing me to play as my Scott Hall CAW online. For some mysterious reason his character doesn't appear on the list pre-match. And also, what the hell does it mean when I can't join a game because they have different DLC from me? Do I literally NEED to buy the new divas pack before I can join them? Ridiculous. Or, just download the free one. Simple! I've already downloaded Alicia Fox though.

Yes, you need to download EVERYTHING.

Okay, a glitch online just screwed me over. Was doing a great triple threat Divas match, and lost because the game wasn't registering submissions despite them being on - managed to make both of them tap out over the course of the match.

So, can I call dibs on the next title? I've been wanting to use the two in mind for this thread.
Anyways, in Uni mode, Heel 'Taker and Austin are feuding on Raw. Before one match between them, Del Rio attacks Austin. After winning with 'Taker, he proceeds to leave the ring as Del Rio runs in the ring to try to beat Austin up some more. 'Taker comes in to save Austin, thus turning him face again. Next week, it's Austin vs 'Taker again, but before the match start, Del Rio beats 'Taker down and replaces him in the match. Del Rio wins the match. Now, 'Taker and Del Rio are tagging against Swagger and Ziggler. Del Rio no shows the match and Swagger and Ziggler win. After the match, 'Taker gets beat down by both.
On SD, HHH seems to be involved in almost all the main event matches somehow by either coming down to the ring to watch or having his allies McMahon and Nash replace him in matches.
The only person injured right now is Punk and it was by Lesnar.

I just got the game today and my Universe mode is interesting. My CAW has been feuding with Alberto Del Rio for weeks. One week it's my CAW vs. Del Rio, The Miz (who has been appearing in all of our matches for a couple weeks), and Jack Swagger. My CAW pins Del Rio in the match. The next week its my CAW vs Del Rio again. When Del Rio is going down the ramp he gets attacked by The Miz. Shortly after that Dio Rio gets beat up by Swagger. My CAW beats Del Rio in this match. After the match The Miz goes into the ring to beat up Del Rio, but then my CAW decides to help Del Rio and throws Miz out of the ring. I'm wondering what else is gonna end up happening in this feud

Got it for Christmas today. I love it. Just the little touches like wakeup taunts etc are great, and the stuff like Cena's comeback are incredible.

I just got the game today as well, and I'm gonna admit I haven't been playing that long so maybe haven't gotten any real screw-ups yet, but...
The commentary's actually pretty good this year. I'm shocked.
And speaking of comebacks...how do you actually do them?
That's one complaint I have for this year's game. They somewhat radically alter the control scheme this year, and they take out the tutorial from last year.

For comebacks, you've gotta be beaten up quite badly, then hit Y when it says comeback & get in the right position for the moves, like Bryan's starts from the corner, Orton & Cena from running etc.

When it says COMEBACK just press Y or Triangle.
I almost got Cena'd in the Royal Rumble as R-Truth, but flipped him on his ass when he went for the 2nd shoulder tackle.

That's what I love about the Comebacks. They're not as sure-fire as they are on TV, and that you can actually reverse it if timed correctly. And oh boy, it's f***ing awesome when you stop Cena's little comeback in its tracks.

Just got the game today, and I don't get the Road to Wrestlemania at all. Your basically doing a storyline that you can't change. Furthermore, you can be wining the whole match, but if a prompt button comes up, and he pins you, your lose. Your basically watching the storyline unfold, instead of doing it yourself. Like, during the Bragging Right's tag match, there was about 5 eliminations that are done by the computer, I would think it would be more fun to do it by yourself, instead of watching it happen.
Your can't roam through the backstage anymore, the breaking point tap-out system is completely confusing, and above all else, the story mode is frustrating. You sometimes don't even know how to win the matches, because if the prompt button comes up, it's over. Either something happen's, or you lose.

The "Breaking Point" thing is kinda simple, where you just mash buttons to either make the guy tap out or escape a submission.

I've been playing this game for a couple of hours. I'm stumped. I can't work out any of the controls. Everytime an R2 appears on the screen to counter I press it, nothing happens. I've mashed the buttons, held them down, pressed them at the right time, I can't counter anything. I can't get any of the grapples right, because it doesn't let me do anything no matter how many buttons I press. And the opposition wrestler reverses everything too.
I was playing as CM Punk against Sin Cara. He immediately locked in a surfboard and made me submit in less than ten seconds. I mashed every button, I held down X, I couldn't get it right. What am I getting wrong?

And I'm sure this has already been discussed in here quite a bit, but regardless...
I absolutely LOVE Del Rio in this game, but could Ricardo Rodriguez be any more unenthusiastic?

What am I getting wrong? The higher your Grapple and Striking defense, the easier it is for you to reverse moves and attacks. The Breaking Point system isn't hard at all. Just mash all the face buttons. You can also crawl to the ropes with certain submission holds.

And I'm sure this has already been discussed in here quite a bit, but regardless... I absolutely LOVE Del Rio in this game, but could ANY of the ring announcers be any more unenthusiastic? Fixed. The R2/RT prompt shows the last possible moment you could have pressed the reverse button (I guess it's to show how you should be timing your presses) because you can still reverse some moves despite not seeing the prompt. Also, the mini manual (at least on Xbox) is pretty useful to understand the controls and there are some pretty clear instructions in the pause menu.

The Road to Wrestlemania is stupid, seriously. I was just playing a tag match vs. the Big Show and Jack Swagger. I had my finisher, I did it to Jack Swagger, then the prompt button came up. I pushed Y, and then Big Show came in, did a double chokeslam, and I lost.
So, the match was basically a waste of time, because I had absolutely no chance to win.
I WANT to actually play the game, not watch it.
